Retro LOTR + Specialist Miniatures: 90's Games Workshop

MESBG is my favorite GW game. Working on too many armies at the moment, some just collecting the older minis as they come out (like the older Fellowship variations). I am lucky to be in an area with a thriving community for actually playing. Work does not always allow for it however.

I really wish we had that community here - LOTR had a huge impact on me so I'd love to get into the game, but the interest level seems to be almost null here. Might just need to find some time to work on MESBG as a solo project or something without thinking about actually playing...we'll see!

@@PocketPigments LOTR has been part of my life since I was very young (looong before the movies). The group that got me into wargaming (mostly 40k, HH, and Warmachine/Hordes) did NOT want to play the LOTR/Hobbit game (as it was known then). About a year after I moved away, Pelennore Fields box came out, and they all got into it!! LOL. I hope you do get a chance to play, maybe at a convention or such?

@@brianv769 sounds very similar to my experience! I've love to get a game in at a convention but there aren't many here in Canada. We have the Sword and Brush miniature painting convention and I'm organizing a large yearly convention as well called Maple Palette, but they're both painting focused, no gaming sadly. I'll be going to Adepticon this year for the first time - perhaps I can scout the MESBG area, see what's up :)

@@PocketPigments Some day I will try to make it to a convention, it is one part of the hobby I have not done. Adepticon for sure would have some MESBG.
