Me too...44 now. It never gets old to me, I still listen to it all the time. I have been patiently waiting on a new album...supposedly in the works. Can you imagine what that would sound like? I hope James can get the original singer back, that is a must for me.

41 yo here. Got the cd when I was 16. Loved anything James Murphy was on. Still sounds amazing ,awesome production. Huge riffs. At a time when there was glut of death metal this was a masterpiece

Just an update on James Murphy, he is doing well, and masters and produces other bands. We are with a label, but will record anything new at his studio. We just talked and will hopefully keep the original sound with some surprises to bring it up to date. Our influences are different with exception. That’s why after I left, there hasn’t been another album. It was our riffs blended that created that album musically. I do it for the art, fans and fun… I just started checking out reviews, and very humbled by after all this time it still being enjoyed. Announcements will come out as we are set to release… We need you guys, and hope you enjoy round 2! 🤘🏻🎸

Necrotic Nick- That's awesome to hear that James is doing well. He's been a part of so many of my favorite death metal albums and it's just good to hear that he's still active. Dude, I'm so damn excited to hear you guys are doing a follow up to Dreams of the Carrion Kind and I'm eager to hear what this album will sound like. Definitely keep me posted and maybe we can schedule something to promote it with you guys on Thralls if you'd like. Regardless, this has been some killer news. Hails, bro!

Thanks gentlemen for that awesome review. Tommy Viator here. I am thankful for the drum love but I always considered my drumming in DISINCARNATE was pretty generic, death metal drumming 101, so thanks. I'm still @ it. I have a gigantic electronic kit and will be posting vids this summer. Unfortunately I can't pull off what I did @ 22 yrs old, so if the fellas ever do a 2nd album I'm sure they can find a young buck to fill my shoes. I really hope James stays active cause he is incredible, 1 in a billion. He spends a lot of time on the wrong side of the recording console. I wish he would get his ass out there cause I'm pretty sure EVERY death metal fan would love to see him. Thanks again for the kind words fella's... ✌️

Man, almost 30 years huh? Watching the MDF merch and than Jon mentioning it I was like, “I don’t remember a lick of it!”

Fucking love this album and surprised about how unknown it is to this day. I'm glad you guys reviewed it. Murphy is in the same league as Marty Friedman and Alex Skolnick.

Necrotic Nick- I just the the Metal Mind Reissue but it's pretty killer too. I'd love to find the original though. James is a beast. I'd love to see him fully recover from his health issue and comeback with this project again.

James Murphy rules 🤘🏻🤘🏻 the most underrated guitarist of the whole death/thrash era imo. I think a few years ago he said in a interview that there’s another Disincarnate album that hasn’t seen the light of day but he’s planning on releasing it sometime 🤞🏻

One of the first tech-death albums I ever bought, way back in '96 when i was just getting into Death Metal at age 14, pure classic slab of death!!!!! Also killer cover art from Dave Mckean from Sandman

Necrotic Nick- Hearing this and Immolation on the same comp definitely opened my eyes to more extreme and technical metal for sure. Everything about this album rules as well as that cover. 🤘

Vocals are outstanding. Deep and well pronounced. The lyrics are amazing too. This album is an absolute classic. And that artwork is so sick.

Necrotic Nick- Never had an original of it but luckily Metal Mind Reissued it. I first heard them on the At Death's Door Compilation that came out in '95 I believe. Love this album front to back.

I heard it once before and didn’t really like it- you guys convinced me to check it out again. It is pretty amazing- the riffing is so unique and technical. The lead work is insane as well. Glad I revisited

Necrotic Nick- Sometimes album just need time. I never got the original when it came out but I had Stench of Paradise Burning on a comp. I didn't hear the entire album until much later but I was even more impressed with it then.

Hey guys, thank you for the reaction. I’m actually the other guitarist in Disincarnate. Bryan and I were from Infernus… James and I wrote the music. To me the groove and harmonies were important to the sound with growling vocals. Stay tuned, James and I are working on making another album. Without each other this band wouldn’t be. I rearranged my Infernus music+ rewrote new material combining it with what James wrote….You nailed it, how the songs had groove, harmonies, and technical parts… Thank you! 🤘🏻

Necrotic Nick- Hey, man! Not a problem, bro! This is legit one of my favorite one off death metal projects and it's awesome to hear it won't just be a one and done album anymore. You and James crafted a brilliant album here. It pretty much captures everything I love about death metal in general here.

@@thrallsofmetal Hey Necrotic Nick, thank you so much for reviewing that album as old as it is. As a matter of fact it was Social Media that brought us back together with each other and our fans. I lucked out finding that review.. Wow! You nailed it on how I wrote riffs and songs, and got James thinking we need some heavy grooves for the pit. I hope you will like the new stuff. I have ideas to keep it fresh, heavy, and on point. Anytime you have a question about that album, or the band. Hit me up,, I I’m down to earth. You guys are so appreciated. Thank you!! JC

Necrotic Nick- I'm still shocked at how underrated this album is. It's fantastic from front to back and really showed off Murphy's skill as a songwriter in particular.
