I was saving up for a set of the red/blue retro shooter light gun bundle and was ready to check-out on November 15th or so when I saw at the bottom of the checkout page, it has the RS3 Reaper light gun listed as pre order. So, I waited for it to be announced and pre ordered the pro 2 bundle. Probably on the website since November 14th when they are getting ready to announce it and put it on the main page. Timing couldn't be any better even if I tried my best. lol

I got the RS3 Pro Kit (Dual Guns + All accessories). Total amount came to $305 shipped. Not bad for what you get. I personally hate Sinden. I never even opened the box. Still have it sitting there in my living room. I use my Wiimotes. But this...this is what ive been waiting for. This is the kit guys. Sensors, recoil built in, plus pedals? Get this one guys. Plus, no ridiculous wait times and lies like Sinden. No garbage excuses. Save your money folks. Get this one. I recommend the pro set for $240. If you dont want the small janky console they send, you can save 10 bucks and just get the kit without the console. But i recommend you just get the pre-order kit.

sooo sad i have 2x sinden and haven't been able to fully use it. maybe got to work for one time on a pc emulator. so difficult and extremely picky where you can actually play with. fyi i got them first day release on the kickstarted several year back. LOL

@@jeff15 yup, I've heard good things, but also really bad things. Sinden just really rubbed me the wrong way how he did things. I vowed I would never use them. I planned to keep them and then sell them brand new one day. But this RS3 kit will save the day. I know it. It looks amazing and is plug and play, plus it offers features you would have to pay Sinden Money-Grab lightgun twice as much for. I'm encouraging everyone to get this and sell their Sindens.

Keep in mind these have a few issues that need fixing, for demul, Parrot and pre-build (HDD) images that req. proper gun serial ID/COM ports. Hopefully fixed before shipping, Kris Coolmod has a video explaining it. Also keyboard inputs need to be re-assign to the correct keys. This gun is AMAZING btw, I think it will set the bar no doubts, but I'll wait for Buystuff cuz their sensor shell is better for ALU and I don't have a 3D printer. The bundles offered suck!. The pricing is fair, the problem is the none-essential added crap. I don't want to pay for pedals and the console, not gonna use that.

@zemi2750 I was on thier site and saw several bundle options with or without console, pedals or just the guns if you wish. Ofc you'll need the sensors and maybe the hub for convenience. I'd recommend looking around the website once again. I'm sure the website could have done a better job outlining this options without having to dig deeper for them..

Can you tell me if the muzzle is larger than the original Retro Shooters? I have a buystuffarcade Retro Shooter pedestal and I'm curious if the Reaper would fit in the gun slots. Great review and these look amazing with a lot of great upgrades.

Yes it'd larger you can see the comparison when I held it side by side with the original Retro Shooter gun. I don't have their holsters to test.

I have the same Terminator skull. Im adding LED eyes into mine. I've done it with every Terminator Nemesis Now product. Even the bottle opener and their wall 2 different version wall plaque. Hey, is it possible to turn down the recoil strength in the RS3 Reaper guns. I dont want them sooooooo loud... lol. Not over my expensive sound bar and sub 🤭

Just curious how does this compare to Sinden in terms of the crosshair movement? It seems the crosshair has a slight jitter

Well for my quick and dirty setup with my actual arcade machines I want to play this on in storage due to home renovation the tracking works better, a few times I think I was too close to the screen to try and get the gun in the camera shot while playing. It tracks fine when I'm a good 4 feet or more away from the screen.

Great video, pdubs! Would you kindly explain what I need to do to use these on the ALU for the natively installed Space Gun, Operation Thunderbolt, and Operation Wolf games that come with the ALU as one of the 300 original games? Simply plug into the USB port and play?

The only light gun that works with AtGames firmware is the Aimtrak, these wouldn't work with the built in atgames games

Couple things I can think of, for a few gameplay tests I was holding the gun and playing right handed. I am not right handed so holding the gun steady while vibrating was an issue. Also, in a few camera shots I wanted the gun to be in the camera shot and was sitting too close to the screen. Should be at least 4 feet away (IMO) playing on a 40" screen.

Hey P.dubs can you use the pandoras box from the original retroshooter and play those games. Reason why I'm asking is because in the description for the new 240.00 dollar gun bundle it states that they have 20 new mini games pre-installed meaning i don't think they include the original games list that was on the original pandoras box. I would buy they if I can plug them in to that pandoras box.

@@maddmig3598 yes these guns will work on the older Retro Shooter Consoles that had 100+ light gun games, you just want to make sure you use the power supply with the new guns. I don't have their new console yet but I heard these are 20 custom mini games that they include but you'll probably want to play the classics instead on the older box

i wanna know if this new gun has big improvement in terms of the mouse tracking speed compared to previous 4ir blue and red guns from retroshooter. i just hate the slow tracking speed of the modern light guns. its really hard to shoot multiple enemies on the screen due to the slow tracking speed

Yes the tracking speed clock's in at under 2 milliseconds I think and the original was up around 8 or so, at least that's what I saw on another review for this gun

From the testing i've seen it's quicker than gun4IR and down from 8milisecs to near 1milisecs from the previous version which is crazy.

@@CA-tk8yn I did ask Retro Shooter why the Pedal/Reload Buttom wasn't on both sides of the handle but putting a button on both sides didn't work out with the PCB board and rumble motor inside the handle. No space.

You can't use the gun without the sensors, you have to have the 4 sensor setup. The sensors allow the gun to be seen as a mouse. Better to be further away than up close.
