Interesting that you said Benoit and Guerrero were incapable of having a bad match since both of them were unhappy with how it turned out on the night, they both felt it didn't quite come together and it was missing something, Benoit even said to Eddie afterwards "Sorry, I owe you a good one". Sadly we never got that "good one" since Eddie died a few months later

One Night Stand 2005 was so great because the show was booked by Paul Heyman & Tommy Dreamer and therefore ECW authentic - you could tell that WWE added some of there production values to it but there was no WWE creative BS, which makes this PPV to this day one of the greatest of all time!! Hats off to the WWE for allowing this PPV to play out the way that it did!

Simon, love you... But here is the thing (from a fan of original ecw), you have to remember watching this show that you most likely didn't watch original ecw. For those of us who did, it was a highlight show. For example, of course the fans booed Rey. He left for WCW. Which to an ECW fan was selling out. Where as Foley was cheered on his way out and up to WWE. This is because Paul had a working relationship with WWE. Vince loaned ECW talent, gave them equipment. But Bishoff and Turner were just buying the wrestlers. It would be like there being a reunion for Channel 4's wrestling show from the 90s, make exactly like it was, then showing it to someone who did watch it, if at all
