Very important to note. If you decide you want to broadcast your netplay, before you do, make sure and go to settings>user and create a username otherwise you will be broadcasting your public ip address.

Hey ETA Prime, can you tell me what is the correct server address I need to put in, please? Do I need to put my friend's IP address, public IP address or my own? Do we both need to do it, or one of has it empty and the other who would be host has their information in there Many thanks in regards to your reply. Keep up the great videos.

Do you recommend using retroarch for all (most) of the emulation withing bigbox? I know for example to use the bezel/overlays I need to use retroarch.

how do I setup netplay on retroarch with vita to vita or vita to pc on a lan connection I keep getting failed to initialise netplay on one side but not the other also my preferred connection is an iphone 4 personal hotspot port 1337 seems to work for me on the one side too

I know this is about launchbox, but just curious. Can't retroarch create a game code that you send to a friend, instead of copying the actual IP address? I'm thinking something similar to how Divinity Original Sin does on the gog version.

Not that i know of but RetroArch does allow you to create a room that anyone can join

The RetroArch Netplay menu is easier to use... Set your username, and then join a lobby directly from the menu. No need to share IPs.

Please anyone please helped. Have launchedbox and I tried playing two players, however everytime I connects two controllers only one seems to work while the other is disconnected. Please anyone help. Thanks

I didn't even know this was a thing tbh. 2 questions. Does this work with Arcade and can you use hamachi for the IP?

I know for a fact that FBA works fine and yes hamachi should also work. i Havent tested mame yet.

Thanks, that is super helpful. Already had hamachi set up with buds, now I just need to go look for FBA stuff (I'm using a pretty old mame set atm lol)

Hamachi is basically a public network that your buds log into and share(the number is limited tho). It has its own IP and also gets around the need to portforward.

I presume this would work with swin.es disposable ddns service, just put in an ip and pass, hit go and you should be able to use the address it gives you (of course you'd still need to open the port)

I think if the arcade game you are playing has 2 players mode it will work.
