In contrast to Kirby, Dedede is already perfect thus he doesn't need to copy any abilities, so his Inhale obviously will be better in such a thing as range and damage.

True. It turned from a move with limited range and did only a slight amount of Kirby’s health, but now it does a fair chunk of damage and is actually a lot more far reaching and potent than Kirby’s inhale. I guess dedede didn’t stop training after he learned to fly.

King dedede's rainbow curse description says that dedede's jealously of kirby lead to him learning how to suck up air and fly like kirby (which took him a long time to master) I'm assuming this later lead into him learning how to inhale like this too. Dedede's jealousy is something that isn't really elaborated on much but is a important part of dedede's rival relationship.

Flying should be easier. as a chad kirby right back at ya beliver we see in it dedede does not know how to inhale, which makes sense as it would come first in the time line, and dedede's jealousy is elaborated in that so everything adds up perfectly.

It's actually pretty cool that King Dedede has that King Dedede also has an inhaling move to and he gets fat and then spits him back out at the wall and he gets insta-killed and in Ttriple Deluze he gets thrown at the camera/you, (would be cool if he had the power to copy ability though) and like it's cool when this game has this gimmick or mechanic where like and then some enemies and bosses have that mechanic or a variation of that mechanic too. Also must I must say that the Kirby death theme is actually kinda funny to listen to over again, and that 6:58 that Kirby's Blowout Blast game definitely reminds me of Super Mario 3D Land/World? Also I wouldn't be surprised if King from Deltarune had the same ability too. Haha.

Basically Dedede got posessed by Dark Mater and its controling him, thank to DarkM. , Dedede now can hover and transform his tummy into a mouth with sharp black teeth (Also is a callback to kirby 2 because that Dedede is also posessed and can the same stuff) Hope it helps! :3
