Man I remember spending for fucking ever finding the Warp Star Station one. Before internet and strategy guides and things, no way to look it up. Eventually I realized it had to be a black door against the black background, and flew up & down the entire stage, pressing up to hopefully go through a door. And then VIOLA it took me through a door and my mind was blown. I was probably 7 years old at the time. Man what a time to be alive.

@7:33 lmao, i never knew you had to use the laser, i solved it when i was a kid by using the fire power, dropped the star with select and absorbed it underwater. That way the fire animation when absorbing the star will lit up the cannon even underwater. That didn't work in the GBA version, so after all these years i finally found the right answer. That was the only switch i couldn't find on my own (at least without using a glitch lol). I love this game

Grape Garden Stage 3 has some smooth-rotating propellers. Goes to show how far tech on the NES came. And/or the skills of the sprite animators.

I figured all of them out when i was a kid, i felt so happy every time i discovered a secret switch, the last ones were the ones at 6-3 and 7-6

It’s almost amazing to see the sheer amount of thoughts and details they managed to put into a freaking GBC game. (Well this goes for a lot of the older games). Every time Kirby bumps into a wall/ceiling/lands and a star falls out (?) it cheers me up a bit.

There is a remake for the GBA called Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. It is just as good as this one...if not better.
