The Asgard have very good shielding but the Romulans have Plasma Torpedoes. Not only that, but theres two of them!

Both battles ended exactly as I expected they would. I believe O'Neill class ship could easily take on the Scimitar and emerge victorious with no damage.

Nice battles! The Asgard are definitely one of the most powerful races in Stargate, and have probably been making intergalactic ships as long as the Romulans have been around.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Romulans cloaked and the Asgard just blinked and thought "our scanners can still see you" and one shotted the ship as you cannot have shields up while cloaked. Well in ST:TNG you couldn't and that actually makes sense. Also space is not empty, there is dust everywhere so you just need to see the wake of it being moved aside and there is the cowering Romulan or Klingon.

The Asgard vs the new Canonical Andromeda mod can be scary... basically because the Asgard have powerful Ion Weapons, but the Andromeda has an excellent Point Defense system.

A formation of Borg Tactical Cubes are about the only thing I can think of in Star Trek that would even have a chance against the Asgard. The power level differences between the two universes is pretty staggering.

😳well crikey Captain.. I have seen this ship before but against the Romulan Warbirds.. wow.. and noticed are similar in size.. Yes Shinzon will be saying '', Not again!'' lol. I never noticed the more powerful plasmas. ok.. and the Asgard ship is nice.. very nice.. and at the end, I just noticed the multi multi firing on the ship.. eeh wow. very nice again.. loved the battle Captain..! 😊🖖

It went exactly as expected. I'd love to see the Federation Battlestar go up against the O'neill-class Asgard ship; either facing off to an Imperial star destroyer, then perhaps an Executor-class ship or the DS1 or DS2..

I knew Stargate ships were tough but this just makes it look easy. Would love to see more mash ups between stories. Personally I'd love to see wraith vs borg or maybe even a fully upgraded Daedalus class ship vs the Jem Hadar. Lol

The agility of giant Asgard ships always impressed me, even in the TV shows. Ancient stuff always seemed powerful but slow whereas Asgard stuff always seemed moderately less powerful but agile. In fact, if I could compare the two technologies, I'd say that Asgard tech seems far more practical and Ancient stuff seemed more high concept.

Totally agree with your statement! The Asgard tech looks so much more refined. Whereas the ancient tech looks highly experimental. The ancient drones are pretty much a super weapon. 🖖

Pretty sure they were. The O'neill's came before the X-304's.

@@ryanbrochu3336 The Asgard didn't use them against the Ori at the battle of the Supergate so I think the Asgard began developing them after that. They may have been fitted as a prototype to one ship but we don't see another Asgard warship again.

That's O'Neill... with 2 L's! 😆 The only thing more powerful than the Asgard ships were the Lantian Aurora class. Probably, only the Borg could stop those drones, and only if they adapted 😄. Technically, replicator vessels were even more powerful than Lantian... but it's strange... as advanced as replicators claimed to be, their technology stopped at Lantian levels.

The truth of the matter is that the only race that would have a chance against the Asgard from SG would be the Voth. Asgard tech is only underneath that of the Ancients and Ori and have been decoding and developing tech from the Ancients databases for millennium.

Hard to say. The Asgard were allies of the Ancients and when they ascended, the Asgard no doubt looked for Ancient tech to study. It's quite possible some Ancient tech was even gifted.

the only problem i have with this d'deridex is that it has no beams facing aft, which in the shows we have seen shoot rear before, otherwise, this went exactly how i thought it would

There is absolutely no other way this could end. Infact its being very generous the romulans put any dent in the shields. The romulan star empire was only founded in the 4th century ad, but only developed warp travel hundreds of years later. The asgard civilization is over 100,000 years old. They were considered the peers and equals to the ancients who were like the preservers in star trek. The asgard also developed intergalactic hyperspace technology 28,000 years ago. It's the equivalent of expecting a babbling drooling baby to debate the theory of relativity before a live audience with Albert Einstein.

The Stargate O'Neill ("2 L's"), class ship going up against 2 Klingon Vorcha-class vessels, then perhaps some Dominion battlecruisers, Borg Tactical cubes, or even maybe the Enterprise F or G?

I don't see a fleet of Romulan ships being able to even dent the Asgard shields by 1%. The power difference is that great. Even 32nd Century Starfleet is far inferior to the Asgard.

I love to see Stargate ships in action, however...I have to say that the Ancient ships I have seen in your battles are being represented as rather "weak" when compared to their Star Trek counterparts. I think that the Ancients need to scaled up in both offense and defense. On screen we have seen their shields take a beating no Star Trek ship could take, yeah we can debate the power of drones, but here they are treated like photon torpedoes here and that's not accurate. They could send many more at time and they were a lot more dangerous given how they worked.

You made a grave error by not employing attack pattern Shinzon Theta! Against this Asgard ship, the Romulans would probably have to attack with no less than 4-5 Warbirds. Probably a mix of D'Deridex and Valdores. 4 Warbirds firing heavy plasmas would probably be effective.

The Romulans would have no chance!!! The Goa'uld (Egiptian Gods) were terrifyed of them, so the romulans would be just a speckle on their path!!! The whole Stargate universe is OP whem compared with Tar Trek, The Prometheus Cruiser would already beat most Star Trek ships, but the Daedalus??? The Daedalus (as seen in the last season of SG-1) would MINCE ALL ships in Star Trek, not even the DS9 seen during the dominion war would match!!!!

How do you maintain stable performance in Kobayashi Maru? I've experienced some stutters when playing using KM.

There are many things that can cause stuttering. If your on a Geforce graphics card, try disabling multi core support for bridge commander. Weirdly restarting your computer rather than shutting down and turning on also helps some people. When you shut down windows it doesn't shut down, restarting does though!

This is foolishness! We know the Asgard weapons (like the beam weapon seem on the Bilisknir) can one-or-two shot all Starfleet & Equiv-tech (Romulan, Klingon, etc) ships. The O'Neill is MORE powerful than the Bilisknir. This battle makes no sense! It should have been over almost instantly.
