Well for a "Battleship" I think it's too weak, especially because the problems it had against stock ships.

Also it lacks a Lance phaser or similar spinal siege weapon mount that most of the other battleships seem to have. This thing would probably get whiped by a Galaxy X/Dominion BB for that reason alone. It's a big slow target perfect for those huge fixed guns. Ditto the Neigh'var

It seems like it needs better shield generators. Battleships should be the best punching bags that can dish it out as well.

Such memories! This ship was in Star Trek Online when it debuted but was discontinued several years ago.

This thing is a glass cannon and a wimpy cannon at that! It's a "battleship" with weaker shielding and weapons than the Sovereign. It fires the same quantum spread as the stock Sov but without the photons! This thing just LOOKS tough (I guess because it has 4 nacelles 🙄). That being said, the bones are there. Increase the phaser power, strengthen the shields, and most importantly, double the torp count on each hardpoint so it can fire a spread of 8 from both the front and rear, and then you've got something!

There's a damn good reason for it not showing up. It was removed when the Command Battlecruisers were introduced back in 2014. And good riddance, too.

I don't think it's such a good ship. I guess Starfleet learned nothing from the Dominion war in that smaller, more heavily armed ships like the Defiant are much better than large battleships. The shielding on the Typhoon didn't seem that great and a torpedo volley of only four projectiles??? That's some 23rd century capability...

It's not balanced and the Torpedoes are too few and very innacurate. Not at all like the Dominion BB Scimitar etc.

just because the in game mod ships are badly balanced with each other does not mean battleships in trek are inherently a bad idea. If this thing was balanced appropriately it turn Defiants into cannon fodder. Defiant only has as much success in the show as it does due to plot armor.

🤔At first glance, very nice ship, but the shields are weak for a Battleship.. but the rest is quite good.. Imagine the ship was from the game years ago and looks like from the future almost.. hmmm .. The balance is interesting. I think what's most interesting is how much the Typhoon struggled to engage at medium-long range against the AI when the AI was keeping distance at medium-long range. The Defiant isn't a medium-long range ship, it's a fast attack ship with a close range dominance (which is how you played it). I think the reason that tactic worked is because the pulse phasors have low accuracy at distance but the Typhoon has such a slow speed that it'll still get hit regardless and struggles to hit fast moving targets with torpedoes. I guess if I could narrow down 4 aspects that I think are missing with a "battleship" like this it would be, 1) lack of sufficient armor for the class size 2) lack of phasor power 3) a terribly large weapons arc blind spot on the dorsal side 4) a low quantity photon/quantum volly with a long recharge time. I would have pointed out that the shields seem low power but I'm not sure if it's too low on power or if it just lacked sufficient armor and was getting hit constantly by those pulse phasors without a good ability to dodge. Frankly, the Defiant class was designed to win against targets exactly like this.

The Akira has a pair of torpedo launchers on the left and right side of the saucer, but doesn't ever use them on screen.

In BC (KM and RE), there are several ships that have side projectile launchers, including some Akira mods, some Excalibur mods, some SFC alien ships, and one or two others that aren't coming to mind. 😅

It's a rather interesting ship with interesting designs for the nacelles. No surprise two Defiant's were able to take it down.

I think it plays well against the vanilla ships and it's a bit more balanced, compared to a lot of the popular op modded ships. The weapons hit hard, but not ridiculously hard. But, I think if they're going to keep it as slow and clunky as it is, it could do with a slight shield upgrade.

And/or heavy ablative armor. Could use a broadside pulse phaser array for heavy bombardment as well as long as it not turned into a godship like the Galaxy X from Hell

I think that if you were to have a battle ship for starfleet it needs to have port and starboard torpedo launchers like the akira. It also needs better sensors, think you missed with half your quantum torpedoes with each barrage

Okay amazing ship bout time someone did a USS Arizona style battleship. FEW problems: One Where are it's fighters/runabouts? I'm assuming it would have a pretty big attack group onboard as the Battleships in star trek tend to be as much carriers as Battleships. 2: WHY are the Quantum Torpedoes so damn innacurate? Should not be missing with entire or most of a volley especially at the shorter ranges. Targeting might be bugged. 3: USS Defiant is designed to fight BORG CUBES and is not a typical example of the Small Attack ships everybody else made liberal use of. It's much heavier armored and weapons made it more like a heavy tank for break through operations then a "small light nimble" attack ship. Edit: One more thing it needs a lance phaser or similar big gun OR a massive torpedo volley. because that seems to be the other basic "qualification" for battleships in ST they almost all have some BIG SIEGE GUN like the Galaxy X.

Sadly, at present BC RE does not have a "carrier" script capacity to launch extra support craft. The modder who released this mod did note they had a KM version in the works, so we shall see.😂

I just don't understand why they do not put the armor technology like what is on the defiant or the Enterprise E on that ship or other larger federation battleships and be able to have the power systems to have shields to cover the entire ship. That ship started to go down in the second battle when you were in the defiant and I believe you could of defeated it by yourself without help from the other one. Now if that ship had the same armor technology and power systems that's on the Enterprise E that battle would of gone on a lot longer and would be 10x harder for you to win I believe.

Not too bad. Personally i would have slapped some heavy phaser cannons turrets on it. Pretty like a 24th century version of the 16inch 50 caliber guns on an Iowa Class Battleship.

I feel like this is more of a 'Pocket Battleship,' or 'Large Cruiser (as in the actual naval class).' It is more for fleet support, raiding, bullying cruisers but I don't think it can go up against enemy battleships.

Would it be possible to mod the Defiant so that it only fires pulse phasers when it has a certain amount of charge. It looks so ridiculous when it’s firing one pulse every 2 or 3 seconds.

The reason why your quantum torpedoes were missing so much is because Data and the Borg Queen had secretly stowed aboard your ship to make out and to play their favorite 'target locked, but not really' game. It's a waste of perfectly good torpedoes, though. 😜

For a whale it was pretty thin skinned and under armed, thus more weapons, multi targeting, blind spots shouldn't exist. The heavy weapons should stand as is, for taking down other large ships and outposts. Add another layer with some weaker torpedoes and phasers for small ships and shuttles.

That is not a Battleship for its systems to be so weak and its shields are a true disappointment, the ship should be sent right back to the star base for a complete systems overhaul while the Defiant's are good ships they'd never be able to get past a real battleship. The larger starships can soak up way more damage and have way more power. All in all it was a bearable fight tho. 5/10

I feel the balancing is off its a battleship yes its not really meant to fight two smaller craft but it still should shred a defiant especially with full fore arrays and the shields were a joke needs some more tweakin. IMO
