I do love STO's 25th century Starfleet aesthetic, with the "tuxedo" black-and-white hull patterns and the almost art deco nacelles. Good to see the Hestia handled the borg about as handily as those ships do in STO, as well!

If your in a multi vector ship, you you should be allowed to nest the shields since each section has it's own shield generators. Triple layer.

Wow, those Hestia class are very powerful. Those assimilation cubes are even more powerful. Even 20 took several minutes to bring one down. Also, the AI wasn't smart enough to outrun the explosion. They didn't learn from the explosion in the 001 battle. 😄

These phasers against the shielding is FAR more realistic with the series, the only gripe I have is that they should be cleaving through the ship as well (more hull damage), I only say since the hull itself is usually immensely weaker than the shielding, especially Borg hull (which is notoriously “brittle” in comparison to other ships, even though Borg hull heals rather quickly)

I absolutely LOVE the Hestia class. Definitely a worthy successor for the Prometheus class. This SHOULD have been the Prometheus TBH. I definitely can see this a Picard era ship for sure. You: We're carving into them. -Reminds me of the TNG episode "Q Who" when the Borg were cutting into the Enterprise and Riker was all, "They're carving us up like a roast. I am NOT surprised the ramming of the Borg Cylindrical worked lol. That was hilarious seeing those 19 Hestia classes being taken out when the Assimilation cube blew lol.

The moment I saw the Borg cylinder, I wondered whether they would construct a special new shape of ship very similar to it, but much more dangerous: the Borg .50 cal (not to scale)! It consists of mainly engines and tons of armor at the front to put all those Klingon tactical drones to most efficient ramming use. Not looking at you, Mr. Worf! Once its front is firmly stuck in the intended target, deployment of angry drones can happen directly through the hull breaches.

Would love to see a borg realm conqueror. Not sure if it's still available for Bridge Commander. As for slipstream, the fanfic StarTrek Athena by Chris Robato based in the SFC games has a slipstream drive section. So the prototype drive section can dock with the middle&dorsal section and would had the other weapons that Voyager got like the Isokinetic cannon on it.

Being such a prominent member of the Star Trek gaming community, you should be calling the Borg ships by their correct names. The cubes are actually called D6. The Diamond is a D8. That Borg Dodecahedron ship, it's called the D20. The Cylinder is a stretch D2 or also known as the coin flip. The Borg Sphere is the rounded D100. Using the correct terminology is very important.

One thing I really don't like about the model is the Impulse exhausts are in front of the nacelles. The impulse exhausts should have clear line of sight behind the ship and the bussard scoops should be unobstructed from the front. I figured that was a given with starship design, but someone at STO messed it up.

The Cabbage that I mentioned was the United Earth's designation for a ship that the Romulans used during the Earth-Romulan War. It is not canon as far as I know but it is widely used by the fandom. The Borg shapes annoy me. It's one of the things I hated about Voyager. When we first saw the Borg it was a cube. We kept seeing them in a cube. Even the first sphere we saw? Was from a destroyed cube I always thought of the sphere as some sort of logical collective shape But then something weird happened, and we started to have Voyager who needed to have something new and we had already seen cubes. So they took the sphere idea and ran with it and all the sudden all the board ships became about being a geometric shape. It always seemed silly to me and I always thought the Borg focusing on shapes was not borgkike

Putting the Hestia up against the first 3 Borg ships, the Cylinder, Rectangle, and Pyramid was a complete waste of time - those ships were too weak to put up a fight. That time would have been better spent fighting a regular Borg Cube.

while cool to watch, three ships in one seems pointless and counter to how trek crews solve combat issues. When split up you'd need 3 crews/three chief engineers to pull extra power from somewhere or think up that one repair that gives them the edge/surprise attack that wins the day. You want a multi vector attack, send out ships in pairs or trios, no sense to force a single ships worth of crew to manage three ships.
