The first fifa game i got was 04. I thought it was such an amazing intro. Watching it again really brings back memories. It's still the best one by a margin in my opinion. In second place i'd put 06. An intro like 98 is really cool too but nostalgia is such a big part of rating them and i never played that one...

well it's not just nostalgia, if you remember we didn't have to own a super PC nor an expensive consol to play those games besides there was something i can't describe (we were hyped, simple fun) fifa still does a good job but they lost something in the process .

The last one I enjoyed playing was 2010. The problem is they are all the same, they just change or add few tweaks, like add more people in the crowd, different goal celebrations or some stupid intro before freekick takes place. But don't focus enough on the gameplay. Players should move more natural with the ball. I played the last one scored a couple of goals and got tired of it after 2 games.

Its the same reason despacito has more views than michael jackson or beatles songs, which is ridiculous. Let me tell you one thing, when FIfa 98' came out, every sports kid was talking about it, no where near in comparison with 2006.

Most of these intros are more suited for trailers to announce the game. If you watch them each time before playing the game, they get tiresome very quickly. Only 03 and 04 have actual "intros" that are short and dynamic and unique, which you can watch every time. Using actual game footage as an intro becomes outdated, as soon as the next FIFA arrives. Whereas the live action footage of real players (+ the catchy music) has a very motivating effect. Although the version I played most was 07, it's the 03 and 04 intros, that give me nostalgic goosebumps every time and not the 07 intro, which I can't hardly remember at all.
