My father was one of the lead guitar engineers at microfrets, He showed me when "he was still alive," he died in 2018, Some of the crazy designs they put out at the very end when they were depleting the inventory of what they had in stock at the factory when the owners wife was running things. In Frederick MD. Some really crazy stuff wish I had one of those, great spacetone

I remember Micro-fret guitars. Back in the early 70's I thought they were a little odd with the adjustable nut, but later realized that they were on to something. The first time I saw one was in a music store in Maryland back in 70' or 71'. I enjoyed this video and love the tone you got out of that guitar, nice touch.

I bought an early 70's Microfrets Spacetone about 8 years ago.. wonderful guitar for life. Sounds incredible through everything especially vintage AC30! Really like your video..

yeah I grew up in Maryland and got my first electric at Chuck Levin's in Wheaton, that MicroFrets guitar is awesome

I have been obsessed with Micro-Frets guitars after reading about them in Guitar Player magazine years ago, I have never had the chance to play one and the only time I saw one in action was by Wreckless Eric in 2019, he plays a green sunburst Spacetone.

In actual fact....the first basses didn’t have the metal micro nut feature .The pickups on your guitar were designed by Bill Lawrence,replacing the original DeArmonds used in the first few versions up until about 1971.
