The Mega Drive 1 is always the best for me. The first console that was bought specifically for me as a kid, not a hand me down from my brother. I looked for one for years recently but never found a decent condition one for a decent price. Got one a couple of weeks ago and the nostalgia hit me hard. Back in the day as an 8 year old, unplugging it all and sitting in the front room holding the console itself like my prize possession. Happy days.

Great pickup with the model 1 CIB, i believe with the PAL model 1s the earliest models with high definition graphics and stereo sound written in white around the ring above the cart slot have the better sound, the ones that don't depend on the revision of motherboard which you won't know unless you open it. I agree tho I also prefer the model 2 despite the sound quality not as good, I love the model 2 paired with the mega cd 2.

All-star Ghetto Recently picked up a few megadrive games now I've the bug to hunt for them. Picked up sonic pinball and toe jam and earl 2 recently. The toe jam in early was without manual in cex but when I got back to the cr and looked at it there was a manual inside 😁

Some really nice additions, marvel super heroes you'll definitely enjoy, that's an amazing psx addition looking forward to the gameplay vid to hear your thoughts. Bargains from the toy fair, boxed md systems are worth decent money, far more than the great deal you dropped on, I've a couple ready for cex and unless the value has changed they offer 60 credit, had them ready pre Xmas in the boot but the last time I was in I couldn't wait for them to be checked along with an og pre hdmi 360, again worth far more than I'd get at a market. The old man's christmas gifts were funny, all very handy and that's what you've got coming for the next decade 🤣 Little man's Minecraft controller though, wow, that's really nice, pdp if I saw correctly on the back so made by a legendary company in the gaming input device market. Oh, md1 all the way lol

Great pick ups, the Megadrive pickup was nostalgia for me as I was more Sega than Nintendo back in the day. Also massive football fan (Newcastle United, don't hate, haha) that David Ginola on Fifa front cover & to me I think that football toy was Rob Lee, both massive players for us in the entertainers period with Kevin Keegan as manager, looking forward for what's coming in 2025, also my slippery slope of collecting.

Broken Sword is one of my favourite games. Xmas 1997 my main presents were Broken Sword 1, the Playstation Mouse and Fifa Road to World Cup 98. I still have the games and mouse with my collection. This year, I also got the Broken Sword Directors Cut for the Wii, DS and then found the PS1 collection with Broken Sword, Road Rash and Myst for a good price within 2 weeks of each other. I prefer the Mega Drive 1 to the Mega Drive 2, despite the Mega Drive 2 and Mega CD 2 together looks better. It is a shame they pushed 3D games on the PS1. The price for Capcom 2D fighters are so high. I have the 2 Street Fighter collections on PS1 for a good price, probably would only buy Darkstalkers as an essential game from my past if I see it for a good price either for Saturn or PS1 (I had the PS1 version but I do have a Saturn that I got for 30 pounds when no one wanted them years ago).
