It's interesting coming back and watching 80's Voltron as someone who was introduced to the franchise with the 2010's Netflix/Dreamworks one. I've really been enjoying these! Some great 80's animation and it's fun to see the differences and similarities in characters and their relationships. I think I like everything except Pidge's voice lol. Little dude is a fun character here but they coulda let him sound a little more normal haha. I'm not sure what got censored here compared to the Japanese version, but Coran giving them a "traditional military salute" by firing on them was a little suspicious LOL

I find it interesting that most of the problems are on human colonies. there are rarely any real aliens in the show. (it is also heavily implied that the Galra are literal demons rather than aliens in GoLion. Honerva/Haggar made/summoned them including Daibazaal/Zarkon (she's his "mother" in GoLion. The former lovers plot happened in the re-edit and the added material for Voltron))

This is probably my least favorite episode these days. its still nice to watch, but its the one that just like, makes the least sense. Especially given that in the order they've been going, they've left Arus defenseless TWICE now and there was no issue.
