We paid $100 for S7 to use materials that would provide shipping protection. They aren’t doing it-that’s stealing from their customers.

Theyre charging $100 because those are huge boxes. The big one would cost close to the full amount if sent via the usps thanks to the huge $30+ fee they charge per box for oversized boxes and heavy boxes. Other shipping services have similar fees.

No - you paid $100 to have it shipped from Super7 to your house. You paid for the gas & the labor and the "space" on the trucks to get it from point A to point B. At no point did Super7 promise they would use materials to provide shipping protection & at no point, despite Jay's claim, did that $100 promise or imply that the product would arrive "safe, undamaged & unblemished". No carrier is going to promise that & no vendor is going to promise that; that's why shipping insurance exists. That being said, clearly Super 7 went the cheap route for this - packaging it as well as they did for Snake Mountain would probably have cost them (or you to be specific) another $50-100 in today's shipping environment. I feel badly for you and everyone else regarding this situation - Super7 is going to eat some profits and take a public black eye for this one.

It BAFFLES me that these companies don’t learn from each other with this stuff. With all of the horror stories from Eternia how in the hell did Super 7 ever think that shipping the Lair this way would ever work!!! To charge all of this money, put all of that awesome work into the box, and then it gets shipped like this? To what, save $10-20? Makes ZERO freakin sense. Needless to say, add another customer to the list about to file a complaint on both of my sets ordered.

My box was pretty beat up. Like you, I appreciated the artwork and will be disposing of it. Also an early bird, but no Key. Not making a big deal about the key. I am thankful the playset was not damaged. Thx for all you do for our community. Good and Safe journey my friend.

Shipping carriers should be held accountable for this damage. At these absorbent prices, carriers should have liability for what they do to them during transport.

I really do hope that when I order mine, it arrives in good condition. I worked for FedEx years ago. Yes, the companies should use more protection because these boxes goes on convertor belts and handle by people that dont care about handling with care at times. But paying that type of money the box needs to be protected. The art work is what collectors love.

I emailed them they never responded it’s been two weeks now. I received an email a couple of days ago saying that my catslair is getting ready to ship out. They don’t even realize I have mine lol. The email also says when I receive it please post pics on there website, I say we flood there website with the damaged box pic and broken pic so they know we want box replacements and replacements on the broken pieces. Let’s stick together and force there hand to make this right!!!!! Hoooooo

Clients are not paying for a damaged limited edition box. A partial refund should be given to the ones who received a damaged box. This is unacceptable, specially bc Super7 knew about the importance of the protection (proof: packaging of snake mountain & tank) so they deliberately decided to save some money and risk the quality of the product

This is on Super7. This is a premium product with $100 shipping. They know what the collector cares about and the trouble shipping can be. I would like to know how much it would actually cost to ship, because it looks like they decided to "save"(steal) some money. The shipping is the expensive part, and if they cant handle it, they should try to partner up with someone to help. The packing material for another box and 4 corner protectors would be cheap.

I received mine on friday. California to New York. My outer box had a bunch of punctures. One was so large that you could put a fist through it. Also, my inner box was torn through. Multiple tears. They used single walled flimsy cardboard and as little tape as possible. Huge box and an expensive item and THIS is what they sent it in?! I messaged them and they said they would address it in February AFTER preorders were fulfilled. THEY sent it like garbage, and WE have to wait weeks for them to address it. I ordered the Thundertank and Snake mountain. This is embarrassing and unacceptable.

I was so disappointed that I could not afford Cat’s Lair, but after seeing these videos, I would have been extremely upset if I spent that amount of money on a product and more money for shipping to receive the product in unacceptable condition! I purchased the Thundertank and it was packaged very well, so I am surprised that Cat’s Lair has issues. Maybe the size makes it prone to more damage?

I’ve worked in shipping for 18+ years I agree this is poor customer service on super 7’s part but you can file a claim with the carrier as well it my take a while but I would try that as well as sending it back to super 7

Part of my catalase didn’t even make it to me. FedEx returned it without delivery because it was damaged in transit. S7 said they would mail out another one. Here’s hoping!

Yes, FedEx could have handled them better. Mine went through 8 different FedEx locations from the time it was picked up from the Super7 warehouse. From the time the shipping label was created, to receiving it, was 8 days. There is minor damage to the shipping box. I have yet taken it out of the shipping box to inspect the contents. Ultimately it fall back on Super7, they should have packaged it better since we paid with shipping and tax, over $800.

If the name Subpar7 isn't ringing true on this ordeal, it never has. These smaller but prominent toy companies like Subpar7 and Neca have shown that they have people that work within their companies that have the love and passion for these properties to create products that people will buy but thats where the care for the operation ends. Once they earn the revenue, they are done with the consumer until the next "thing" is deployed and lures people to throw their hard earned money at them months or even YEARS in advance! This is the exact reason they do these crowdfunds. They already have their payment. All of the remedy for damaged goods has been mostly mitigated. With ZERO product collecting dust in a warehouse or store shelves. Aaaand guess what, they'll continue doing it as long as people let them. I wish that GIJoe Cobra Mothership would have funded. Just to see what kind of debacle that would've most certainly been.

The Super7 Thundertank is trash. Treads don't roll. Tank was a big paper weight. I did not pre order the Cats Lair b/c it did not come w all unlock tiers and the Thundertank straight up sucked! A waste of $$$. Hard Pass.

It's unprofessional and lazy by Super 7. They pocketed some of that shipping cost is what they did. Then they used FEDEX for delivery. FEDEX gives no F'K's on handling packages. What will Super 7 do about it? Probably nothing and expect collectors to keep over paying for low quality products and poor packaging designs.

I think it depends where you are: BBTS ships Fedex to me and out of dozens of packages not a sign of damage. BBTS do use sturdy boxes though ...

Super 7 has listened and slightly improved shipping. My lair boxes arrived today. The outer box is still flimsy and inadequate. There were holes in them but thankfully the inner boxes were only dented but without holes. Still unacceptable for $100 shipping but mine arrived better than most. There are now corner protectors around the inner boxes which helps, but still below the standards for the Thundertank.

Waited almost a year for this. Art box has rips and I can literally lift up the cardboard torn damaged flaps to view holes it the art box. Worst shipping protection I’ve ever seen in 20 yrs. Haven’t heard back from super7 yet. Been over 48 hrs.

I got Snake Mountain from Entertainment Earth, who received all their Snakes from Super7 WITH those corner protectors intact. However, EE then took all the protectors off before re-shipping to customers! I was very pissed when mine arrived without the protectors and with corner dents and even a huge (what appeared to be) forklift gash which punctured all the way into my Snake box. And no, the protectors didnt just fall off on their way to me like Jay's. Because I called them and EE told me those were removed by the warehouse prior to re-shipment. They did offer me a very small partial refund because of the damage. But I eventually sold it because I was so disappointed how they ruined my long-awaited $800 collectible. I couldn't stand to look at it anymore. They actually did Extra work to make the packaging Less secure! This obviously is not a comment bashing Super7, but rather Entertainment Earth this time. But sorry to hear the Cat's Lairs are being treated bad by the company itself now.

There was damage to my box as well, right through the box of the cat’s lair (like someone punched it). I had it shipped to my Mom’s place so I haven’t seen it in person yet but she sent pics. I certainly hope the actual play set is ok. Mine was sent via FedEx so I don’t understand people saying it was sent through the post office.

The thing that would worried me allot if i ever ordered those beasts,would be if it was fit to pass it through my doorstep!!! 😂Can i ask if it needed also a forklift to unload it from the delivery company truck?! I didn't order this, never got in to Thundercats, but I completely understand what the collectors are going through. My Eternia playset arrived damaged on the shipping box, the product box, and the exclusive poster, and I was not happy since I paid a fortune for it.

Just received Super7's new Super Cyborg MechaGodzilla which is like 5-6 times smaller than these playsets and even that came in a doubled up shipping box with a bag and a few extra pieces of soft foam on the sides. Definitely a quality slip up from their distribution centers

We experienced these same issues with Mattel when it came to Eternia. I guess we should congratulate S7 on making the big leagues. Will they offer small refunds or ask for the backers to ship back for a replacement that may not exist like mattel did too? Is it possible to find someone who can print a new box for those of us who are in box collectors and whose playsets aren't damaged? On a more serious note I can't help but wonder if a class action suit can be brought against Fedex for how poorly they are handling high price products.

Super7 needs to stop putting labels on their boxes. I don't need everyone to know what I purchased. There are to many jealous and evil people out there that will mistreat your packages on purpose. My thundercats tank was also abused during shipping. It looked like it had been kicked around because all the sides had holes. Luckily my lair was not damaged. I hope Super7 takes action and takes care of everyone.

Super 7 the company who fools everyone with nice shiny items. This has been happening for years quality, packaging, shipping you name it. And Brian makes a video saying how high his costs are that's why the figures are 50 a pop and the quality is crap. After the vintage motu line they did I've only picked up a few o ring joes for 20 bucks. And even they have terrible quality but 20 bucks is 20 bucks.

My Sail Barge Box was not in Good Shape when I received it but that is another story. When these items get shipped they simply must be adequately protected. This means 3 Layers of Box's including the Actual box that has the graphics of the toy, there should be adequate bubblewrap inbetween each layer of shipping box and atleast 1 set of Corner protectors. The carboard must also be of good quality (eg no thin cheap cardboard). I cannot tell u the sheer amount of Toys I have received damaged due to poor packing and bad shipping practices. Someone tell me what is the point of making something if it doesn't reach the customer in the same shape it left the factory, it just ends up being a waste of eveyones time and resources. Hell I wouldn't care if it cost me an extra $30 if it meant that Super 7 could guarantee that I get my copy Mint.

Some of the blame is also on the carrier. They are beating up those boxes regardless of the level of protection on Super 7 side. The boxes can only do so much.

But, ultimately, the responsibility of the damage you’ve shown should 100% be on the delivery service. They trashed the shipping boxes with complete disregard of the fragile contents.

While box/packaging condition is important, I am far more disturbed by all of the reports of the actual toy being damaged. That is absolutely unacceptable. Broken pegs, cracked walls, scraped paint? If mine arrives like that I will demand a full refund/return. I don't want a broken set.

THis is what happens clear that Super 7 is getting strapped for funds how many lines are in limbo right now nothing coming out and no news on GI JOe Ultimates Transformers Ultimates both seem to be dead GI Joe has one Figure that hasnt shipped and nothing else announced. THe Transformers Ultimates is beyond dead has been Forever since anything added to line. Only 2 I followed and Sure Super 7 has other lines in same shape.

So here's a bit of a negative, but entirely possible take on things like this.... These kinds of units go to a single shipping center in-bulk before the whole lot is broken up to other locations as they move to the buyer through FedEx. It's entirely possible that a lot of these are damaged by a bad actor who basically sees these boxes labeled with what the item is and has some anger at the frivolousness of the entire thing and damages them in bulk. It's ridiculous, but there are a LOT of people who operate this way. They work in package transport one way or the other and see these boxes, clearly labeled "CAT'S LAIR" and think to themselves "I have to move this bull$#!( thing because man-child spent hundreds of dollars on nonsense that I can't afford... man f this...". I'm just saying - there are ALL SORTS of metrics like this across the hobby that people don't acknowledge, or even try to shut down conversation about as a virtue-signal.
