I'm surprised and slightly disappointed that Marked doesn't work with Thorns, bc I'm pretty sure it does apply to damage from some non-attack sources like artifacts and mutations. Agreed that the wording suggests it should work. Anyone know how it interacts with poison, banefire, etc? Anyway: these last couple of videos have been so impressive! I've been doing okay on the harder difficulties, but even when I'm strong it feels like a bit of a slog. Very cool seeing you effortlessly turn some pretty big negatives into "doesn't affect me"s, or even into positives like in the last video. Chaos Demon aside, of course!

yea I too have the feeling that Chaos Demon is just a little bit too annoying for the rewards it provides lmao Also, good to know a pure thorns build works well, will definitely be trying it

I think this might be the strongest build in the game. It was one of the first ones I won with. Had 250 block and 40+ thorns.

I think this build is an awesome example of how you don't back down from a creative challenge! You were on the hardest difficulty, and you STILL went for a build that had no attacks and STILL pulled it off like you usually do. That's always the most fun part about watching your videos.

I still wanted the elites, i think there's a way you could have won against scary void guy, especially with the barrier and thorns build up

@@Retromationin the argument for victory vs content I also agree. Testing your luck with such a solid win would just feel bad if you lost; and you would have been inundated with comments saying how it was stupid to try

I had similar with mutation stage 1 but had a single attack spell and sat there just seeing how big I could make my def on the final boss. It was a challenge for myself. I had one skill which improves power by 1 every round, so it was slowly building, and 700+ def. It was really fun. I hope they don't have a psychotic episode or whatever and change it as that would suck the fun out of the game. Too many games with zero fun, where they don't encourage experimentation and they forget about the fun aspect.
