considering the characters sell you ace cards knowing youll use them in golf and against them in their boss fights i assume they're not cheating and maybe just an advantage afforded to our main character or any golfers who are still trying to escape purgatory.

I imagine you can rotate the portals bit Ive noticed that by sheer chance literally everytime youve tried to swap portal position youve been in a spot where the portal would have been 'invalid' on the otherside, so it was stuck to just the one side. This is just speculation though, I could be completely wrong.

I think he tried to portal in spots where the ball would have been safe popping out of either side at one point and couldn't figure out how to flip it. I do agree, though. It looks like it SHOULD be possible to flip where the ball comes out of. Can't confirm since I don't have the game yet.
