Here is the complete broadcast of the 1984 Metro Toronto Santa Claus Parade, now with corrected audio. This was the last parade before broadcast duties were taken over by Global TV in 1985.

3:08 The woman in red on the left is my Mother leaning over to talk to my sister (the girl in blue). My mother passed in 2004....until today, I didn't think any video footage of her existed. I'm stunned. I need to share this with my Father. Quick edit, no, I am not the child that shot ends on. I'm older than my sister and must have been out of frame on the left.

Thanks for fixing the audio. I love the sponsors thank you thing. I don't know if it was a commercial or not, though. But I love the Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake toys in the background. Not to mention all the Care Bears on Santa's Sleigh in the thumbnail. Care Bears was a major part of my childhood.

Oooh I love this! My family always puts up our Christmas tree while watching the parade that weekend in November so I was looking for one to put on this year but it was all people's personal recordings of recent years from the street, no broadcasts (I swear there used to be some up?) thanks for posting!!

Thank you for all the work you do uploading Ontario's past.. Interesting to see what the streets of Toronto looked like back in '84 .. A lot more trees, that's for sure! :p
