There is a bit of truth to the star and Indian. I was born in 1972 and in 1979 I went to summer camp for the first time. There was a ma and pa type gas station/ food store. they had a sign that said, trade wrappers with the star and Indian boy for a free one. Now, this was in Florida and was in the middle of the woods near the summer camp. There wasn't any place near my house that did it. But the sign wasn't hand-printed and looked like a promo ad. I don't think most places had the offer, didn't want to give away free candy lol

Love the talkboy items! I used to have one as a kid and it was the first thing I ever used to record me and my friends doing all sorts of things. We'd make up skits, run around the neighborhood, it certainly was a much different time and I still have tune tapes to this day, well over 20 years old! The talkboy didn't make it but I'd love to track one down eventually in box for the obvious nostalgia reasons. In regards to thinking your crazy with this purchase? I do not, for the simple fact that it's something that makes you happy and brings you back to a much more simpler time I'm sure. 👊
