My favorite is the Carnegie 2014. I guess my theory that I'm literally this figure's only fan is further confirmed after this video lol

Whoa I hadn’t realized to uploaded this already! :D Awesome glad to see this finally! Also I have the 96 model and a couple of the repainted versions , and I noticed the repaints of the 96 Wild Safari model seem to have a fixed head, so there’s no asymmetry, and they’re a little wider than the original, and also no showing seams, just to put that out there (not only that but the Great Dinos version does have a different jawline )
@jurassicplastic25393 жыл бұрын
Good to know they fixed the model with the newer versions! I'll have to pick up one of the repaints. The newest one looks pretty good. I wonder if there was just a misalignment issue with the mold during the first production run or something that would explain the asymmetric look.

@@jurassicplastic2539 maybe. And I think some people’s models of the original 96 version (including mine) have the left set of teeth completely gone or something xP

I love the old school rexes, but the newer Carnegie and wild safari ones are great too(except for the 2006, of course). Congrats on 200 subs and your 1st year anniversary! I'm looking forward to more new content!

Safari LTD has also made a limited edition t-rex statue called the tyrant king, a couple of field museum exclusive models of Sue a open mouth variant and closed mouth variant, and a jaw snapping t-rex.
@jurassicplastic25394 жыл бұрын
I didn't know about the statue, thanks! I went back and forth on including the Sue figures, since they are pretty small and could be considered closer to minis. In the I'd have included them if I had them, but didn't feel like hunting them on eBay just for the video 😄

The Tyrannosaurus are always a classic for Safari ltd,and my favorite out of the Tyrannosaurus before 2017 Rex,is the 2014 one

Personally, my favourites are the 1998 Carnegie T.Rex and the 2017 T.rex Let’s hope Safari makes a new Tyrannosaurus
@michaelgaxiola10764 жыл бұрын
The 2017 Tyrannosaurus is just my all time favorite dinosaur model, I don't think that it could ever be topped. But, I agree, I'd love to see an updated take with less feathering and deeper gastralia. Also, great video as always. I love these retrospectives. Even though there aren't many Safari figures of this species (and even then, they're mostly minis), I'd love to see one on Protoceratops.
@yuyaricachimuel5553 жыл бұрын
Since PNSO’s new Wilson just came out, I’d legit be curious how Safari’s interpretation would look. Somehow I imagine a similar sculpt to 2017 minus the feathering (kinda for “continuity” reasons or something XD)

I’ve bought my Safari LTD feather T Rex from Michael’s along side The triceratops in some wolves, and the thing I noticed is that my feathered T Rexes tail has been chipped a little bit but it’s not that bad
@jurassicplastic2539 Жыл бұрын
Yes, unfortunately a lot of newer Safari figures are made of very hard plastic prone to paint chips. I wonder if this is related to the elimination of pthalates from their products, which act as plastic softeners.
