I think that's a glitch for a sec when pacman walks ontop of the ghost I thought this was part of the intermission untill a bunch of blue ghost chasing ontop of the ghost while the big ghost is chasing underneath the ghosts

I really like the changes made in the Acorn Archimedes version. The developers got more creative with it. I'm a little disappointed in the ZX Spectrum version having rushed intermissions. It would be nice if they were slowed down a bit.

I knew the GBA version's second and fourth intermission had messed up shading for the ghosts (except for the first line), but I didn't know the Playstation version had the same bug, too. Maybe the GBA version was based off this version in particular? It's also interesting how most home computer ports change the text for the third intermission to have Sandbox Land's name (it's the only one not mentioned in the arcade original) but also change the text and cutscene for the fourth intermission to make it more distinct from the second one. Even more interesting is how some console ports, like on the Genesis/Mega Drive, have more accurate intermissions but keep the changed text

The US version alters some music instruments, has staff credits, 19 levels, and reveals Funky and Spunky's names. The US version lets you play in any level (expect Jungly Steps) and recieve extra points for completing that said level. The Japanese however changes them the same but features 23 levels, garbled blue sprites in the ending (the end credits were fixed in Pac-Man Museum+), and the jumping ghosts were called Commons. I think the level select in the Japanese version lets you play in Jungly Steps.

Hey Retrosutra, there's actually an intermission you've missed. In the Amiga port, after a few rounds of Jungly Steps there's an ending and then the game lets you start again with your current score. I'm not sure if that actually counts as an intermission though...
