If you have a Freeloader disc and USB Gecko, you should compare with the Game Boy Player running Game Boy Interface (GBI) custom software. It's way better than the official disk. Comparing composite to composite is the right way to go since you can't do s-video though!

I have heard about the custom software, but I dont have a freeloader or anything

I’ve always found GameCube to be dark via composite cables, the component cables brighten it up a fair bit and sharpen the picture quality up. Does the nitro support component or is S-video it’s best output?

No component on the Nitro Capture. It has the same video out plugs as the SNES, 64 and Gamecube. Im not sure exactly what video cables it supports, but S-Video looks best.

@@Lvaneede I wonder if it supports scart? Does your capture device have scart in?
@Lvaneede3 жыл бұрын
The 2x Multiformat doesn't, but the is a RetroTink model called the 2x Scart, which only has scart input.

@@retrorhino209 I think it can't do RGB, at least not the stock one.

@@Lvaneede depending on your model of Nitro Capture, it'll either have the N64's video chip, or the Gamecube's, so either way s-video is the best output. Mods do exist for the N64 chip ones though, that allow you to get RGB out of them.
