It is incredible to see how well represented some of those Sega Saturn games are with the correct gamma profiles. Normally Tomb Raider and Resident Evil look dark and dingy although they do really shine here on RetroTink 4K. Well done Mike, and well done Wobbling Pixels for showing what is possible as well!

Love how everything is smooth, sharp and Crisp looking with no jaggies I don’t like jagged edges on games that modern displays put on these older games.Excellent can’t wait to get the retrotink 4k.

I like how the Saturn handles infinite planes better, for me, more beautiful than the Dreamcast, for example Panzer Dragoon vs Skies of Arcadia

Panzer Dragoon Zwei still look stunning and it also had 16:9. I wish more games on Saturn would offer that option. Btw Nights also had it but you didn’t toggle it?

Hey there, I'm really thinking into investing in one of these but i was wondering what cable are your using for your Sega Saturn, I'm fairly new in the scene and i just bought a hyperkin cable for now.

I used Retroaccess SCART cables for this video but mainly use HD Retrovision now. Hyperkin is an ok place to start but likely to have more interference than other options so keep that in mind for later.

Yeah, Hyperkin is pretty "bottom of the barrel" when it comes to video unfortunately.

@ArchadesGames I’d like your opinion on SCART vs HD Retrovision on Saturn. I was primarily scart on everything and recently switched to HDR cable due to availability and all of the other scart considerations. I had been using retro access scart, so they are amazing, but I can’t tell much of a difference for the consoles in which I have both. I used this setup, but with HDR cables and it turned out amazing.

If both are of good quality there will be very little, if any, difference to the end result.

This video was done with Retro Access SCART cables. I also use HD Retrovision with it.

Hows about a 5X vs 4K for Saturn output? Any big gains in going to 4K from 5X?

I have less noticeable video noise in my setup with the 4K with both Scart and HDR component cables compared to the 5X. That's the big one for me.

I’ll stick with using me retrotink 2x scart with the mclassic and 4k gamer pro,using them three together looks loads better than this in my eyes,plus with the added smooth over option with the retro rink scart and anti aliasing of the mclassic together aswel,everything looks 👌,laters

These are some of the worst SS titles. The PAL/murican libraries were nothing, they were barely existent. Saturn is Segas most prolific console & has over 1,200 titles lol.
