This was one of my favorite skating games as a child. There was a game trading store in my hometown back in like 2007 I think called game exchange. You could trade 2 games for 1 game. Go Go Hypergrind was one of my trades that became a permanent in my collection. I still have the disc and case, but it no longer runs so I emulate it now. I've be working on highscores lately. My best was a 3.4 mil combo I got from a x80 multipler. This game is how I unwind getting off of work now.

Such a fun game! If you don't want to emulate it you should look into buying a GC Loader PNP for your GameCube. It replaces your diac drive and allows you to play ISO files stored on an SD card and it isn't emulation as it still uses the GameCube hardware

Great video! Very thorough. I bought Go! Go! Hypergrind when it came out actually. I was working at a game store at the time and even then I knew when ATLUS’s name was on something that it would be very hard to find later on, so I bought it based on that and the Spumco art collaboration. I remember being moderately underwhelmed when I got it home but hung on to it anyway because of that ATLUS logo. Now Cubivore... that was a gem! I bought it for the same reason, but it was one of my favorite Gamecube games I ever played.

You should check out the Single Session mode. Getting your highest score combo in there is fun and there are tagets to collect.

Great video, love the GameCube, and may i recommend if you did a video on super smash bros melee. Im a big fan of smash bros even though i haven't played melee yet. Also, the best GameCube game I have so far is Mario Kart Double Dash.

Good theories, but it's much simpler than that. It's an Atlus game + GameCube collecting popularity + not many copies produced / sold = super rare and expensive
