I'm finally having fun playing the Templar in PvP after having a raging meltdown post-update 35 with the nerf to Biting Jabs. Turns out, the class is still godmode, just have to play it a bit different and here is how. Please make sure to like, subscribe and comment as it helps my channel grow!

@@adamknight1387 seems very likely so. I'm trying yet still to make an effective fighter. Usually play Ravenwatch not to see all the canser-meta-proc-damage-sets. One sustain set and one offensive set works much better, then defensive + offensive, for example. And I swapped to a stamplar. Sword+shield and dual. And having about 2k recoveries each. Even more with resource buff.

One small quibble: The nirnhoned weapon needs to be on the main hand to get the most damage from the dual wield expert passive.

Bringing back the Stamplar after years. Going for that 5 star in Midyear Mayhem. Using all the tips Deltia taught us on Dudesday when we ran the reach around at Aleswell Lumber mill. I'll still use Jabs because it's all I know. Glad you're still around dude.

I run a very similar setup, except I use mara's balm on back bar, and draugrkin on front bar. You should really try it, because draugrkin adds SO MUCH damage, far more than master's DW because it buffs every single tick of damage that you do by 330. This adds up to a ton of damage when you are using multiple DOTs.

Unironically good job, now I can stomach playing what is my favorite class thematically. Jabs spam only makes sense if you have a staff, otherwise your weapons just vanish because reasons.

@Anton DP crimson killed people and would give you a full health burst heal every 8 seconds even in small scale like bgs. Undertaker with no other tank sets was enough to survive 10 people. Maras is nothing compared. Maras total healing is basically equal to hist sap. In 1v1s hist sap gives much more healing than maras. You have no math just pure wrong opinion but the numbers disagree with you and I wouldn't be the guy to argue against simple math

Since I dont have any arena weapons what offensive set should I use to replace those slots? I’m using daedric trickery since mara got nerfed for the defensive so I’m thinking maybe iniate axiom or new moon for the offensive?

Deltia!!! You are the real DON when it comes to build vids!! I’ve always hated Templar on the past due them all being “spamplars” spamming jabs.. now it’s nerfed I’m glad this vid proves a way to play templar without jabs!! And I now look forward to building my Templar to do the same..

Try merciless charge 2h and you'll have stampede and carve I tried it last night. Guaranteed crit. Bleed dot. SSC snare won't matter it's fun too

So what is it there left of a templar? Any class can use this build. In fact, other classes will do better in the same loadout. And how do we play Ravenwatch? Or what if I don't have vateshran in my crownstore collection? And bloodthirsty isn't getting any buffs. It still scales from 75. They only changed the top number for non-golden jeweleries. So white bloodthirsty ring will scale not to 150, but to 210. So it will be not so important to golden out rings, purples will be just fine. But NO, IT DOESN'T SCALE FROM 210 TO 350.

As an ESO player who mains Templar (and has three Templar alts), I gotta say that it feels pretty bad to be slotting Duel Wield abilities over Jabs. The nerfs to Jabs seem pretty hard to justify, when they can't even activate weapon glyphs (unlike Duel Wield abilities). And, given that Templars were actually a little under-powered, compared to certain other classes, the nerf just feels that much worse.

I have a question. After I obtained all the gears for proc and no-proc. I couldn't find a rotation nor skills for your non-proc build. The no-proc build uses 2-h while the normal one uses dual wield. Can anyone help me?

No jabs or sweeps, power of the light is also dead, burning light is allmost useless. All Deltia could do is to wear sets, that do damage for him. My main is a Templar. Sad times. Just log in, get my login rewards and log out.

I do not have the crit buff that's correct, my sustain is very low yes because I'm use to running nearly zero sustain. You can always change out enchants on jewelry, or run spell damage/spell critical potions.

I am okay with the jab nerf but the nerf on pl and its morph is just sad. All other class has a better burst class skill dmg wise, pl was not out of line and yet it got gutted by 20%.

ZOS took all meaningful damage away from Templar except its execute damage so now it's back to beambotting while crutching on procs. I don't understand why they completely ruined Templar's entire PvP damage kit and have done absolutely nothing to remedy it since.

Great video! Wanted to mention two things, 1 you said you get healed when you take negative effects, but it’s actually when a negative effect ends (minor detail but important) and 2 when Snake in the Stars come out heals will make you take oblivion damage, something to be aware of when running multiple hots now that it can proc more than once a second.

When dual weilding, you want the nirnhoned item in your main hand slot as opposed to your offhand slot. The reason being is that only 20% of the offhand weapon damage gets added to your total, so nirnhoned is not as effective in that slot. Sharpened is uneffected. You are gimping yourself out of about 160 weapon damage by having those weapons arranged this way.

Ever since the jab change basically no one uses them anymore lol the animation is trash and so is the damage. It is an iconic skill for the class regardless what toxic bullshit u wanna spew. By all means tho if you prefer the just as braindead beam spam lol. Dead class.

As you say you played too little templar, not so wise to judge it then. As main NB i can say that NB without veiled strike would still had its own flavor and still be viable n strong, would lose some signature but not the end of the world. As pvper i would say that class pasives are what defines most of the class, and as a templar with tons of hours in cyro i can say its still good. Did u read the skill list i wrote? Plus undodgeable ranged stun, gap closer + stun, cleanse on demand... yeah dead class..

There is nothing outside the box there. Templar is garbage and all he could do is to wear as much proc sets as possible to do damage passively instead of using skills. And if another class wear this loadout, it will crush templar hands down.

@@drthdave007 then take off maras balm and dont use undeath passive and look where you are. Also saying being a magsorc main for years does not make any difference here. Magsorcs for a very long time was considered the best class for open world and that with 20k shields and stuff...so you didnt have to run more than 20k health back then when max magicka was a good stat and sorc used it to the full potential. you could even argue and say that you were carried by magsorc if you played it during the class prime, so i dont see your point. if you use maras balm atm and undeath passive, you get carried for sure to a certain degree.

My biggest gripe with this class and with Devs is we have to grind to level 42 Restoring Light tree to get our class mitigation ability. Every other class gets theirs at extremely early. What the fuck is that about?

In the imperial city, one guy laugh on me, says, i am pure pve tank. I cant kill him, he cant kill me. Dont enough dps, on this build. Cant kill bosses solo, can't kill tanky players. I disappointed. Lots of money to donkey ass.

Running this build on NA Console, what do you suggest for the gear after Necrom Mara’s balm nerf? Maybe hist sap but then we would have to put cleanse back on, only problem with that is cleanse is very expensive

In todays meta with ele susceptibility applying 5 negative effects for free, extended ritual is pointless any way as it cost near on 5k mag just for all the negative effects to be instantly reaplied..better of with living dark and passively heal on the move

@@syiccal and also “In todays meta” there’s a blue cp exploit where you can cleanse on heal AT ANY HEALTH. Rotate that with cleanse circle. Easy

@Poppin Smoke I'm just pointing out when you have everyone using ele that applies 5 negative effects for FREE your it's not worth spending nearly 5k mag to remove the effects. Eg I see someone clense, I instantly reapply at no cost to me, and if you're gonna keep spamming clense it won't be long till your mag is gone, and for what? Also the heal is pointless as other than duels you are unlikely to be spending the full duration within the area.
