I noticed that you can't activate Red Zone destruction effect with Bane on the field, could it be an MD bug?

It's a clause issue, Bane in his text does mention "Red Dragon Archfiend monster" in text but Red Zone's condition is that the name of the card have to specify "Red Dragon Archfiend" itself in his name or text (Red Nova Dragon (name in material) , Scarred Dragon Archfiend (name change or in text), Red Dragon Archfiend Scarright (change it's name to OG) and the OG Itself)

I've heard the exploder dragon wing isn't generic enough to make with this deck... The lvl 7 pixie dragon serves better but only problem is it's a UR so I ain't playing any lvl 7 synchros in my deck right now.

You can get it with legacy packs. I found that out awhile ago. You might want to break those in.
