So, I'm actually from the area this is set in, and I have some notes. 1. Fouke sounds like foul, but with a K. 2. half these people sound cajun. 3. Arkansas is landlocked. It doesn't really get hurricanes. It gets a lot of thunderstorms and tornadoes, but not hurricanes. I think the film makers confused SW Arkansas with coastal Louisiana.

Since it's the tenth anniversary of the Snob, it makes me kind of sad that a certain notorious title has never been released on video (even though it still exists on film): Ingagi, the granddaddy of exploitation films. It's a fake documentary (though it was advertised as being completely genuine) that follows the expedition of the non-existent Sir Hubert Winstead and Capt. Daniel Swayne into the heart of Africa. There, they discover entirely new (that is, entirely faked) species and a remote tribe that worships (and fucks) gorillas. The most surprising facts about Ingagi?: It was made in 1930 and was one of the highest grossing films of that decade. It also inspired King Kong.

People really got upset over Brad's jabs at Southerners and Conservatives? I'm fairly certain that if I walked two miles in one direction I could find a place to film the next Boggy Creek movie. I know at least 5 banjo players and there's a bluegrass music festival in the next town over every year...yes there are a lot of drunken hillbillies who go and get into fights. I don't care if he makes jokes about the down home "aww shucks" type of people. They're just jokes xP

Yeah. I guess I can see why some Southerners and Conservatives get annoyed when most of the movies and TV shows and everything are made on the opposite ends of the country from them, to say nothing of Europe, so they always feel left out, and you're more likely to see some lazy stereotypes at their expense, but at the end of the day, it's still petty and whiny.

20:04-20:24 This reminds me of how Ringu 2 was made to possibly replace Rasen as the sequel (which worked because Rasen faded into obscurity). Though the context of when Rasen was made was a completely different case since it was in theaters at the same time as Ringu as a failed attempt to cash in on the hype of the film adaptation of the novel (yes, Ringu was based on a novel, and it was medical science fiction instead of supernatural and each sequel went even further into science fiction territory with the third book going full-on Matrix-esque territory). Rasen had returning actors from Ringu, but it was made by different people and does what Silent Hill: Revelation did which was being a continuation of Ringu but at the same time wants to be accurate to the original Rasen (or Spiral) novel, despite how contradictory the story is as a continuation. Ringu 2 even had the original director return like with Boggy Creek 2.

Tinkerer Exactly what I was wondering. Snob definitely does make such a reference. Also, in regards to your earlier comment, I already consider Batfleck to be Crazy Steve adapted into live action, but that doesn't make it much better. I always kind of disliked Frank Miller. I never saw it as, like, he WENT crazy. From my view, he was crazy from day one, they just didn't allow him as much freedom. Way back in TDKR, he obviously had a hate boner for Superman (which is one reason I don't like him, Superman isn't just my favorite superhero, he's my favorite character in all of fiction, period) and a love boner for Batman. Batman is my second favorite superhero, but it is a distant second. If you asked me to make a list of my top one hundred favorite superheroes, 1 through 99 would be Superman, and Batman as number 100.

Eh, I'm fine with southerner jokes. The only things I actually like about living in the south (specifically Florida), are Ron DeSantis and opossums. Of course, now that I've mentioned opossums, I must write out a little PSA for you: Fun fact: an opossum's first natural defense mechanism isn't fainting. Fainting and releasing the scent of death from their stench gland is an involuntary response to extreme stress. An opossum's first line of defense is actually hissing and drooling to try to fool potential predators into thinking they have rabies. In actuality, an opossum's body temperature is too low to propagate the virus effectively, and as such, they're extremely resistant to rabies, and nearly incapable of spreading it. Despite hissing being a first line of defense, opossums generally don't bite. If you look up "opossums don't bite" there's a video of a guy handling a mother opossum, who has babies in her pouch, and she still won't bite the guy, even when he holds his finger right up to her mouth to give her the chance. They're generally non-violent, they eat ticks that spread lyme disease, and when domesticated, they're some of the most loving, affectionate pets you can find.
