If you're like me it's probably because you at least subconsciously associate this game with your childhood and what was 'going on around' you at those times; for example I think the same thing with Max Payne 1 and heavily associate it with the winter, granted the game takes place in NYC during the winter but I was first introduced to it from the youngest ages possible, just sitting on my dad's lap as a 3-4yo child as he played and sometimes mashing the controller around here and there, and I have core memories of it being around Christmas time back when we lived in the old neighborhood. Human memory and nostalgia are quite powerful.

@@asch7906 I've played Wolfenstein 2009, New Order, Old Blood, still don't think any of them beat RTCW. All got better graphics, but can't help feeling something's off. (Didn't bothered with New Colosus and Yong Blood. Machine Game's product wasn't really my cup of tea...) Beat the game countless of time, installed RealRTCW 4.0 last month, still hasn't been able to quit it. Yeah, it's the best of all Wolfenstein, no doub.

The national anthem of Germany, the country itself, is the Deutschlandlied, it originally had three verses, but the allies banned the first two verses from the anthem and they are even illegal to sing in public in Germany. So today the national anthem is only the last of the three verses of the original Deutschlandlied.
