That's quite a beautiful place. I like looking at the lake from the drone. If the fish do not take the bait right in front of them, there is nothing you can do.

Love the way you placed that rig in the tree to drop it in the far margin 🤣🤣🤣 people will hate tech on the banks, but those same people are also using modern carbon fibre rods and electronic bites alarms instead of split cane rods and tin foil on the line!! They can't have it both ways!!

Yep totally agree Chris we all use tech in some way or other... but more importantly you've probably heard the washing line method of fishing well this is called the "4 Fooks sake im in the Fooking tree AGAIN! method" its not hard to do but just don't get the rig too high in the tree LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Like most people have said...its great to see you back on the bank....really love your vids, and hope to see more...(selfish on my part, but I do enjoy), superb drone footage and I really don't have and issue with new tech, people shouldn't criticise, what is the difference from climbing a tree, same result, unless your using bamboo, twisted horse hair, bent pin....then you are using technology from one era or another, "keep it up" mate...lol !!

Good tk see you back on the bank Matt, I had a session booked on clearwater prior to my holiday but had to cancel it. I fished peg 2 last summer and used maggots as a bed and had a nice mirror 3 hours in but then the silvers acme in and I had a few eels in the night. I definitely think maggots will be a winner in winter on there. Looking forward to the Ben nevis video 👍👍

enjoyed that - thanks! I was urging you to put a worm or rubber imitation natural bait on those fish. The muddy clouds in the water was likely caused by the fish ripping up the lakebed sifting through the sediment to feed on invertibrates.

Good video mate as always , i wouldn't worry about anyone having a go at using gadgets to help you catch more carp , lets be honest every carp angler has taken advantage of improvements over the years , whether it be new types of boiles-pellets-line-rods-reels -spombs the list goes on and and on so anyone who comments on people using gadgets etc should take a look in there tackle box first before commenting , any way a good film to watch after a long day at work

Maff why do you leave yourself open to bad and negative comments, you will never beat a troll they just play on your mind , if you what to use a boat, drone, anything that helps you to catch carp do it. We all pay a lot of money to fish for carp and it’s nobodies business how each off us do it, I believe if you object to someone using a boat , or drone then it’s jealousy and nothing else, if there’s a water that lets you use all the mod cons and you object to them find another water then it won’t irritate you. Hi Ray of course you're correct it is down to the individual in every respect 👍 I don't mind the trolls too much and if anyone gets too heavy or rude i just remove their comment. But I also don't mind ruffling a few feathers as it can be interesting, these are issues that crop up from time to time and not many folk will open themselves up for a debate, as they are too busy looking to be sponsored. ...I'm not😁 However I am 100% going do a vid that questions the use of gadgets for fishing as nearly every fishermen in some way will be using some form of gear that has been improved or developed over the years you don't see many (but you do see some) with a stick and line lol. This video was edited to bring the subject front and center. bear in mind some fisheries even ban alcohol! so i get comments about that too lol. The bottom line Ray I absolutely loved this session on my own and i did learn a thing or two myself. thanks for the great comment Ray, Regards Matt
