This is an astonishing, respectful tribute to Chick Corea and Return To Forever. I love how many of his compositions lend themselves so well to more classical arrangements. The man was (always will be) a genius, and I will be eternally grateful to have spent some of my time in the same lifespan as him.

Wieder tolle Performance. Ich kann mir die wirklich desolate Anzahl an Klicks nicht erklären. Ich maße mir an, wirklich was von Klassik und Jazz zu verstehen zumal die WDR Bigband deutlich mehr Klicks hat. In meinen Ohren sind die Frankfurter harmonischer, umangestrengter und besser geführt und vor allem innovativer. Es steht außer Frage, daß die Kölner auch ein Spitzenorchester sind. Und ich liebe Köln. Habe da 10 Jahre studiert und gearbeitet. Aber ist ja nun auch subjektiv. Ich verstehe es nur eben nicht. Selbst der aufgezwungene Pop Horror wird noch irgendwie hörbar.Leider gibt es nur ganz wenige Einspielungen auf CD. Die Porgy und Bess werde ich bestellen. Da gibt's bis jetzt nur eine unter wenigen. Evans/Davis. Herausragend. Aber ich bin optimistisch! Danke fürs posten.
