I am not Moroccan, and I am not an economist either. This is the catch 22 for many countries in that part of the world. Things being "inexpensive" comes at a cost which is the lack of funding to maintain the infrastructure as well as having so few amenities available. Once the purchasing power goes up for the population at large; you'll be able to notice better living standards.
