It's a wonderful "ride on your bike", you get to really appreciate the English countryside. Besides, I must say that, although I had been thinking about getting a touring bike for some time, it was thanks to "your rides" that made me decide to buy a Triumph Bonneville T120, with which I'm like a child with a new toy..... Oh really? I didn’t see those Gerry, I saw one gravel road that filled me with thoughts of punctures so I chickened out of going down it. I’ll have to have a better explore next time!

Yes the weather can a little changeable in Snowden, even in summer. But I got lucky with clear skies all day. Hopefully you can return and do it with better weather next time!

I don’t mind you asking at all Nigel. It’s an Arai Profile V with a SunShade Pro visor. This particular model helmet has been discontinued, I believe there’s a new version that’s basically the same, but it’s now called the Debut-V.

You can find them on eBay by searching for “vintage motorcycle numberplate”, you’ll have to come to your own conclusions as whether they’re legal or not I’m afraid 👍
