After our 2022 trip to the Highland Backpacking Trail in Algonquin Park, we decided to try it again, this time with some REAL backpacking packs, a few other equipment upgrades and no rain in the forecast. This year, we decided to only hike out to the first site we stayed at in 2022 as it was our favourite. Though the trip felt too easy, and we could have gone for more of a physical challenge, not having to pack up every morning and hike to another site really made this trip feel like a backcountry holiday.
You may hear some creaking during our hiking clips throughout this video. No, it's not my (Kelsey's) bones. It's actually my Keen hiking shoes, which were brand new but completely fell apart before the end of the year. I have since upgraded to Salomons which I highly recommend if you are looking for a great quality (and quiet) hiking shoe!

My knees are sore just watching and with that heavy pack to carry as well. So peaceful so tranquil. Great way to bond and connect with nature. Great trek and great video! Himalayas next?
