White City is such a magical place even to this day. Spent many adventurous days and nights there. It still has lots to offer. The Nature center. The wildlife. Deer, fox, beaver, swans, geese, snakes and various birds. Someone said, they saw a coyote there. There are various trails. Picnic tables and grills also. Great place for nature lovers or a family outing. It holds a special place in my heart!

I am 15 in Hamilton NJ, I live in one of the Abotts houses. Built in 1797. It's crazy how much history is in Hamilton and in the surrounding area. Edit: I can also walk to White City rn if I wanted to

Growing up in the 80s on reed ave we all called that area white city lake. Actually grew up across the street from Jim Colelos parents and was friends with his son and daughter.

Spent many winters ice-skating on White City (Spring) Lake and Autumns hiking the trails (including crossing the Shakey Bridge to get to Duck Island). Remember the ruins of the grand staircase leading down the bluff to the lake and the cement chutes from the flume ride in pieces. Grew up on Independence Avenue which had originally been a railroad line branch that served White City Park

When I was in high school, I ran cross country for two years, and we used White City Lake and the park as our "home course". It was a fun course for this couple of years. don't know what the home course for the school is now. Of course this was about 32 years ago too.

Hey Brian, I also ran cross country with Hamilton West back in the late 60's, same course. I vividly remember having to jump a 5-6' culvert on the course. Memorable, because the guy in front of me didn't make it and broke his arm. I've been back few times more recently; the open culvert has been covered with concrete. It's a nice afternoon short hike.

I really enjoyed this video! When I took AP Biology at Steinert High School, we went to this park to investigate the ecology of the area. That’s when I first found out that White City used to be located there. I’ve been fascinated with the history of this location ever since!
