I’m only 20 min in. But a few large points I want to emphasize as someone who grew up in a Christian paradigm then honestly questioned my beliefs as unbiasedly as possible: 1) most people will hear the statement that the Bible is not infallible and go into defense mode because that’s one of their underlying core beliefs. They feel the need to understand it all as black and white Truth and not to question it and that is conditioned very deeply. As humans I think we want a feeling of safety in the bedrock of Truth so badly that we cling there. I believe that Truth does exist in a big way (read David R. Hawkins writings on Falsehood) but it is felt as experiential resonance in the body, that intuitive knowing of the truth of the underlying presence of God that pervades all things. But most people settle for the infallibility of the book, when we have to look it at practically as a 📖 that has been translated through many different cultures, contexts, passed through many political hands - such as Constantine and eventually slave owners used it falsely to imbue their will - that had their own social boundaries that they were afraid to cross so these traditions held this stance without questioning their own blind spots. Of course we have to discern every source of information that comes our way for ourselves instead of being so quick to regurgitate doctrine as to feel safe in the community. Yeshua was one who was bold enough to speak his truth when it wasn’t the social norm. And 2) most people who have their hairs go up in defense of their beliefs haven’t read much or listened to much of other traditions at all. They don’t dare learn of Buddha’s teachings or the stories of Hanuman or Gnostic cosmologies because they see it ALL as something other than what they have been told thus it must be deceitful which is incredibly rude to assume without checking out honestly for themselves. It’s like demonizing psychedelics without ever listening to experiences of others or having your own honest journey with them. Once you do you can form an opinion and I think once someone reads other traditions they see the underlying threads and throughlines of loving your enemies and inviting Mara in for tea, and living in the world but not attached to it. Compassion for all the suffering and a transcendent peace beyond logical comprehension that we can experience when we let go of the identification of our sins and ailments and worldly personas. It honestly, to me, becomes very clear that all traditions are pointings to the interconnected Being and infinite intelligence that all of creation is birthed from and the rest of the dogmatic rationalizations have come to culturally list out and help those who need rules not to kill, covet, or judge, as we move up through our conscious evolution and operate from the heart instead of survival and tribalism. 💚💚 thank you for this conversation both of you.

David R Hawkins is amazing. I was writing about the five Buddhist precepts the other day and having a 'moral code' for society finally made sense. I believe we are currently not in an enlightened age as a species, but that doesn't mean there is no possibility of individual enlightenment or the evolution of consciousness. Somewhere between the dark ages and everyone on Earth being the spiritual equivalent of Jesus or the Buddha you would find an age just like ours where some people are awake to the oneness of reality and most are not. So the question is what do the enlightened masters who see God in all tell all the laypeople (common citizens, not monks) to ensure that the foundation of human behavior is morally correct? You don't tell them, "all beings are an extension of God, to kill anyone is to kill God. All beings are an extension of yourself to harm anyone is to harm yourself. The essence of your Being is oneness with God." If everyone understood that you wouldn't need a moral code, but that would shatter most people's worldview so you just say, "don't kill, don't steal, tell the truth" and you trust that those who are meant to understand more will in time come to appreciate why you said not to do those things - while everyone who doesn't understand continues to live their life in a morally upright way. Of course some spiritual teachers, like Jesus, did just come out and outright say it when he said, "love your neighbor as yourself." Though I feel like most people completely overlook what Jesus is saying here, that ultimately you and your neighbor are the same Being, and jump straight to, "if I don't love my neighbor, I'm going to Hell."

I’ve always wondered, and maybe you can give me your opinion as a Christian. The idea which says that God requires a blood sacrifice of something innocent in order to cover the sins of humans seems like a really dark concept. Sacrifice is actually rooted in black magic. If you believe that God requires a sacrifice to cover your sin, then you believe that God also created that rule…because who else would be telling God how to run his creation? So, God creates a rule that says something innocent must die in order to cover someone else’s wrongdoing. And if that doesn’t happen, you go to hell. A hell that God also created… …apparently to put the devil, who he also created. At some point God decided to put humans in hell also… if they don’t declare Jesus Christ as their savior in an extremely convoluted world…where more than half the population are raised in cultures rooted in their own beliefs. I cannot imagine teaching a child that if they screw up, which they inevitable will (because it’s in their nature….a nature that was created by God) that they should kill something innocent because that’s the only way they can be forgiven of their own wrongdoing. Seems like an absurd concept to me. This doesn’t seem like a system that an all loving creator would devise… out of all the other ways he could have created it. Why decide to set up this elaborate plot which involves human sacrifice (of God’s own son) in order to make human beings worthy to be in the presence of the entity which created them? Why create a complicated puzzle and give humans one life to figure it out, and if not…to hell with you!!! 🔥 I wouldn’t treat my own child that way. I have lots of things that I question about Christianity and this is just one thing….I’d really like to hear your point of you on this. I ask this with love and respect. ❤ I really want to understand your perspective. Thanks!

Such a thought provoking discussion. From my research in to NDE’s over the years it seems God/Source et al is very “practical” - they mostly (NDE) describe an indescribable all encompassing feeling of love. Certainly not what is represented in OT (which there’s a theory floating about that OT God is not the same as NT God and could be describing “Alien God/s” but that’s a whole other discussion) Back to NDE experience also describes at their life reviews where they felt incredibly nervous/fearful /guilty there was no judgement just a clear understanding how our thoughts and actions have a ripple effect. That when they knew where they hadn’t acted kindly to someone they experienced both as themselves and as from the perspective of the other person. For NDE’ers this was a profound insight. I studied the Bible for 5 years I agree I could never ever wrap my head around the whole original sin concept. When I became a parent I recall feeling unbelievable love and so again felt how could a God assign sin to such innocence who then has to spend the rest of their life branded sinful and only through worshiping Jesus will my child have salvation. It makes no sense. It’s no wonder fear is so intrenched in us. If we look at our human history our religious wars have been horrendous we’ve killed billions of people - do we just put that under justified killing aka Thou shalt not kill, nope! So we just carried on being Uber sinful no matter that 70/80% of the worlds population are believers in a God/source /deity… I had the same thinking - what about the thousands of people who existed before Jesus? The explanations I got were nothing short of utter ridiculousness. The horrific acts that have been levied upon each other and other sentient beings in the name of God it’s deeply disturbing and represents a level of unfettered and overwhelming fears… nothing about unconditional love and compassion of Jesus or any other teacher of love exists there.

I really like when people refer to the iron age. I find it intriguing, as in my personal understanding of tracing through the lineage of Greeks in mythology.... It suggests that we're currently the 5th human race, which is the iron race- as the gods made our current generation of iron. On a side note, it makes it a lot funner when you say, "I am Iron Man," and even accurate. I also see a lot of the reference to iron amongst a lot of reggae music. This is even more exciting for me in overlapping because Rastafarians base their belief system on the 12 tribes of Israel. Apologies for the multipoint comment. I find this discussion intriguing, and I too am a lover of seeking the overlaps that tie theologies together in a way that points to ultimate truth. The beauty of The Universe is that it knows to speak to us in ways we can understand. So long as we are open to this belief, we are able to receive transmission much easier. Stay sacred 🙏

On your point about "you can kill the body"... I think looking at it from the perspective of the collective "oneness" is essential in the idea of incarnation. We are all capable of the Christ consciousness because the spirit is in all of us, not just some of us. I don't believe it's multiple gods or multiple energies, it's the one that connects us all. That means our task here is to "cross" the divine with the human... the spirit in the flesh. I loved this talk and I'm grateful to have come across your channel!

I agree that the concept of ‘original sin’ is a tradition of men and not found in the word of God, but Aubrey seemed to say that there is no sin at all. Humans have a difficult time dealing with the concepts of judgment, guilt, regret and sin. Some people torture themselves with these ideas, other people go to the other extreme, get rid of these concepts, and as a result torture others. ‘Unconditional Love’ is also a concept that is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible. However, a definition of unconditional love that I think fits what we see in the Bible is this: A long long patience in not giving up on trying to help someone grow towards an ideal. Inherent in the concept of growth is judgement and the death of your old self. Guilt, regrets, fear are all information signals and motivation modifiers. They can be abused to control or destroy people, but rightly used, they serve your growth, life and happiness. (Note: The unconditional part means that you don’t give up no matter how horrible their sin is.)

My friend's dad, Don Tolman (look him up), spent 17 years traveling around the world; the guy has 2 million air miles, photographic memory, has been through the worlds biggest private collections of books, has gotten the coveted access to the vaticans underdround libraries of ancient scriptures, learned the ancient languages and the bible to a high degree, 33rd degree freemason, Rosecrucian society, the list of achievments goes on and on and he said that Christ was definitely a joker. That Christ Loved laughing, having gatherings where people are eating, drinking pure wines and was all about truly being the salt of the earth

Original sin is NOT a lie when seen in the context of being born into the hands of a flawed and sinful world of flawed and sinful parenting. Every person that’s ever been born is subject to conditional love and this is traumatizing. We all have a body that’s a biography of our childhood crucifixion when unconditional love and support for energetic growth wasn’t there and we cut ourselves off from the authentic feelings of our bodies, especially the “dangerous and sinful” sexual energies which then limits our true self expression and spiritual freedom. Unfortunately, sin isn’t discussed from this context in the church today. Likewise, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the illustration of God Himself (His sinless body on the cross) suffering emotional abandonment in the same way we suffer tragic emotional abandonment as children.

Yes, Jesus claimed to be the ‘I AM’ and the ‘I AM’ was the God in the old testament. The Bible is a unity and there is one God throughout all of it. If you think the God in the Old Testament was unjustly jealous, judgmental, angry and violent then you haven’t read the old testament carefully for yourself. If you think Jesus in the New Testament was (and/or will be) without jealousy, judgment, anger and violence, then you haven’t read the New Testament carefully for yourself.

The god of the OT justifies ravishing of women, killing of babies, and slavery of men for not complying with commands. This is just? When you translate the Old Testament to Hebrew you get 5 different names for the same god, that all have different agendas. The Bible is a man made document and is highly outdated and scholars of the Bible have consensus on that matter.

Aubrey, the images of demons that you reference in the Florentine church at 32:45 reflect precisely images I have seen carved in stone on the lower/seaside temples in Bali, specifically on the platforms on which the funeral pyres are set.

Had a thought when you were saying, Aubrey, that we aren't necessarily different or better than the rest of creation and I remember when I memorized the book of Ephesians one of the verses that really stuck out to me was the one where it says that all creation moans and waits for the revelation of the sons of God. It's funny to watch this 21 years after walking away from my born again spirit-filled tongue speaking Bible thumping calminian bapticostal Jesus freakiness😂... (With a short trip through Judaism where I met Marc Gafni whom you speak of quite often. Up in Boulder). Anyway I'm only about 21 minutes in so I'm going to hit play again lol. Btw it's kind of cool that this is only a few hours ago I see now... Later on: prodigal son. I wrote a personal psalm about this and when I shared in Boulder I was told it represented what Jewish people believe is happening in their spiritual relationship just before Rosh HaShana...so yeah, that would be a great parable to he The One😊👍 On anither nite (sorry ..SO much goid stuff to comment in) I remember being at a shabaton in Boulder and someone from Denver telling me that Jews don't believe in original sin which really blew me away. I had always thought Christianity was based on most of the tenents of Judaism, so I really had to think about that... Along with quite a few things that finally converted my thinking. BTW How can we watch these live? I'm assuming because some of the comments are older and this is a recent podcast that I don't have to wait and watch it on KZbin. Lol

we have a base level of ancestral coding within our epigenetic DNA from our ancestors. Most of us go through life repeating these patterns not even knowing where they come from. This is 'original sin' except we have the ability to become aware and rewrite these codes for our future and our past.

Aubrey defends the angry, vengeful and jealous God of the Old Testament because of his Kabbalah beliefs, by arguing God and the Hebrews actions was part of the conscious evolution of humanity at the time, but then rightly horrified, judges the actions of the Christian church, especially during the Middle Ages? By his argument wouldn’t any atrocities throughout history or present be part this evolution he’s talking about? or does this consciousness evolution only depend on your own belief system that you subscribe to? Isn’t that the problem with any belief system?

The definition of sin = illusion. What is the original illusion? All illusions are built upon the illusory existence of a "separate self." Original sin = the separate self.

Holy man of God dresses in a white dress with beads!!! Look what we (me included) have allowed to represent GODS word or way!!! I Am sure he has such a laugh at us at times! Adam and Eve are a metaphor for discovering the truth. JC discovered the truth. Sin begins when people are treated as things. Granny Weatherwax.
@brushstroke3733 Жыл бұрын
Sin is a translation of fhe Greek word "amakia" which means to "miss the mark". It simply means to misinterpret. Adam and Eve ate fruit from the Tree of Judgment of Good and Evil. They didn't discover truth - they discovered judgment and duality, and thereby lost their ability to percieve the Garden of Eden around them.

I just realized something about original sin. Its not initially percieved or necessarily taught or a product of self imposed guilt or loathing. It's literally whatever generational cyclical events and traumas that are encoded into spiruital and genetic energy. With enough momentum and voids of missing information, as they line up to occur again and again, usually escalating in succession. We are born into it and since people cherry pick what they show the world, these mystery disasters seem to appear out of nowhere without obvious reasons. So scooby doo style shadow secret disaster recovery missions are what i have been balls deep in to the point of becoming unrelatable and isolated from humans. Shits wild though, and i don't think baptism erases this problem. Rather keeps them asleep to the real deal, and upon awakening, soul part of the well in the Vatican or something like that

@@infiniLor that was just speculation on my part, as if once christened or baptized, your soul belongs to the Vatican, and there's a well but instead of water, it's the aetheric soul of fruit punches. There's something going on like that, but I don't have the details.
