I always hated pulling and cleaning a coil. Try removing the baffle at the apex of the coil and all of that crap will flow right through. Usually only 2 to 4 screws holding it.

Nice job Curtis at first I thought that was the r 22 unit you worked on last week. Which also has a filthy evap coil. Anyway Curtis I see one guy called the evap coil a microchannel it's not as it has copper tubing anyway nice job.

@@professionalinspectionserv9468 years ago, pre-charged lines, evaporator and condensers were a thing. then every to, dick and harry would install their own. right or badly wrong. many leaked becasue of bad install jobs, while there's others that are nearing 50 years old and still working fine. (untouched) moastly horizontal flow slab type condensers, easier to clean with just a hose and most of the debris/weather elements stayed at bay.

The best way to deal with electronics that is freshly wet is to gently warm it up to about 60 or 70 degrees (I work in Celsius) for a few hours to increase the vapour pressure of water so that it evaporates before corrosion sets in. Don't try to turn it on again until is is dried out.

Curtis, couldn't you clean the A coil with a pressure washer? Back when I was workig hotel maintenance, I accidentally dropped my cell phone into a clogged bathtub. I took out the battery and Sim card, let it dry for a day, and it worked fine after that. I wish you the same luck. Make sure to remove the battery.

Why push the dirt into the coil? Run the water the opposite direction of the airflow to flush more dirt. Silly rabbit! Also, you should be protecting the open connections from moisture intrusion/bugs.

Hey Curtis, you have a generator at your home I saw it in one of your videos. I think you also have one of those electric type of generators correct? I'm assuming you know how to weld you can make a platform out of expanded metal and angle metal and mount your generator to the back of your truck using the receiver or your hitch goes. If you got a electric pressure washer then when you did those coils you'd have enough pressure but not so much like a gas would put out. Just a thought hang in there buddy keep up the good work
