Its really special considering they don't see eachother for a large portion of the year. They never know if this is the year their partner won't return.. thats why they are so grateful for their partners and do these splendid dances when they reunite.

I work with some of the most intelligent parrot species on earth. These albatross have the same light behind their eyes, and reminds me of the hyacinth macaws. I’m crying at 12:30am thinking about our wonderful Uve and his partner, green wing Rojo, and seeing the amazing relationship they have. It’s real love and connection. What marvelous creatures that never fail to astound me.
