Dear FIA/Porsche, this is how a prototype is supposed to sound. This is what we want to watch. The 908 and 917 are going for it, watching the driver heal toe, down shift, and steer at all the same time while keeping the more powerful 917 behind him is the drama that is missing from Indy Car, F1, and IMSA!

This is just bloody awesome Porsche! Gunnar was great,but you may have noticed a couple of indiscretions(overcooking it) when the 917 was close following.Pressure,when you know you've got a more powerful beast at your back. Geez,if I had ever come second to a 917, I'd reckon I was King!

What makes you say that? The 908 was built for tracks like this. It’s defining feature was its agility. There is a vid out there somewhere of a 908/3 keeping a 917/30 at bay at the same track.
