Barbra Streisand - "The Woman in the Moon". Rare, unreleased early rehearsal take

This is an early audio rehearsal of the Paul Williams/Kenny Aschen fan-favorite song "The Woman in the Moon", possibly recorded in late 1975 or early 1976. The sound is not bad, and I tried to improved it the best I could. I hope you enjoy this rarity!

You find the most interesting Streisand pieces. What gifts. I love hearing her voice in raw form. Its something we rarely get to hear. Her voice jumps all over and you can really hear her vocal ability with those high notes.

Pierson would probably make a gripe regarding your last sentence, i think. But the man was no Will Wyler. No recognition that Barbra's everything was on the line with the updated remake, nor of her seasoned artistic instincts. She came to know early on what worked best for her. Pierson only rankled at this because he was a part of the "good ol' boys club" in Hollywood, regretfully insecure when a woman has brains, talent, and a valid opinion. Barbra rocked their narrow-sighted little world!
