Now don’t get me wrong. The accusations seem pretty real. The only thing that people don’t mention is how stay away from my baby doesn’t necessarily have a sexual meaning. The song could very easily be about him wanting her but not sexually with lines like: “there’s a difference between just lover and lust” and “it’s not like I’m a greedy boy at all”. And it also seems like he doesn’t want people to think that he wants her sexually

The dark aspect is the fact that Shane made the song for his gf that was sixteen, underage, a minor and he was 19.
