Fab tutorial thank you. I made some several years ago and had previously bought two. The bought ones are ready for the bin, but the ones made from your pattern are still going strong. I’m about to make a few more today. Thank you. X

Please how much is the pad and panty liner patterns going for as well as the PUL fabric for the back..? Tks
@FrutejuceHandmade2 жыл бұрын
The pattern from my Etsy shop is £6. But if you google there are some free patterns out there. I have no idea how much PUL is. I haven’t bought any for a long time. Good luck in your search.

Am just wondering or they better for health , only if you make sure the fabric doesn’t have dye and certain materials in fabric that bad, because I see a lot of beautiful fabric, so just wondering if they have dye or other bad stuff? Am thinking about. Lots pad to save money, also want to make sure it’s healthy I currently buy natural pad at store not cloth but it’s expensive
@FrutejuceHandmade5 жыл бұрын
Robin Stone I know the store bought pads are bleached which is not good for our health. I tend to use 100% cotton or bamboo fabric to hopefully cut down on unhealthy stuff. Also better for the environment :)

@FrutejuceHandmade4 жыл бұрын
Bola Claris hi, it is 100% cotton. I’m not sure what the name for it is as it was given to me. But it has a sheen to the surface. It is not waterproof.

Thank you so much, just a question tho, in this case the pink fabric will be turned to us or the panties when put on?!
@FrutejuceHandmade4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I wear the most comfortable fabric towards me, in this example the pink fabric as it is soft flannel. But it is up to you to choose in your case.

@FrutejuceHandmade2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I sell the pattern in my Etsy shop here etsy.me/38m1DFn I just used fabrics I had on hand. I like flannel for the top, towelling for the inner and a cotton fabric for the backing. If you are using for periods you are advised to use something waterproof as the backing like PUL fabric.

The pink fabric is so cute. Do you remember where you got it?
@FrutejuceHandmade5 жыл бұрын
I bought it from eBay. I searched for Flannel Fabric. It is cute isn’t it :)
@MrMikezombie7775 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Couldn't find the exact pattern but plenty to choose from nonetheless. Got another question, what's a good stain-resistant fabric for making what you call the backing of the liner? Just ruined one of these with a permanent blood stain (period started earlier than expected) lol.
@FrutejuceHandmade5 жыл бұрын
Mick and Lee Hi, I’m not sure about stain resistant fabric but I’m thinking that natural fabrics like 100% cotton should be good. It helps if prior to washing you give your pads a soak in cold water. Hope you find a good solution, try a few and see which work best for you :)

The topping fabric (pink) is cotton or flannel?
@FrutejuceHandmade5 жыл бұрын
Hi, the topping fabric I have used in this tutorial is flannel but I have used lots of different fabrics in the past. I like minky for comfort but don’t like sewing with it.

I haven’t tried it myself but if more absorbent layers were added to the middle and the back layer is waterproof PUL fabric no reason it wouldn’t work? Unless anyone else has already tried this?
@marietamorgan26294 жыл бұрын
@@FrutejuceHandmade lve tried it and it leaks for heavy days, so l cut out plastic shower cap and sew to the underside it works well and does not leak plus makes pad lighter ,as thin as a paper.
