Reuse an Old laptop Touch pad using Arduino | DIY Arduino trackpad Hacks | PS/2 | SYNAPTICS

Hello Guys,In this video I will show you how to Reuse an Old broken laptop Touchpad using arduino and control a LED. (free codes).
The touchpad of an old laptop often communicates via a PS/2-interface. A PS/2-interface has a gnd- and a 5v-connection, as well as a clock and a data-pin. You might find the pinout in a datasheet. Otherwise you have to check with a multimeter. So it's quit easy to use it with an Arduino. I just demonstrate with a single 5mm led.We can turn ON - OFF any kind of appliance like light,fan,tv etc as we wish.
For that we have to install PS2Mouse-Library.

Hi there! Cool video, thank you for sharing. In attempts to recreate this project (and expand on it ) I am getting stuck on the coding aspect. I have downloaded the relevant PS2Mouse-Library and Code, as well as installed the library into the arduino IDE. The Library installed is "PS2-Mouse-Arduino-master" and in both the example that comes with that library, as well as the example you provide ("laptop_touch_pad_with_led_control") the error i get is " 'STREAM' was not declared in this scope ". Am I perhaps missing another library ? Not sure if you encountered and overcame this error. pls help
