All I can say to this is Frank and Ollie :) I have no qualms about however they choose to reuse the art from this masterpiece. The Nine Old Men will always be flawless creators in my books.

As a kid I would watch a disney movie and always think, hey, that scene looks familiar for some reason. It would happen a lot.

Here's another: The footage where Mowgli is running through the jungle after Baloo tells him he's going to the man-village is reused in The Rescuers when Penny is running through the bayou after she escapes Medusa.

I spotted another one. The animations where Mowgli was running away form Baloo after he told him he was taking him to the man village is the exact same animation used in the Rescuers where Penny was running away from the ship in Devil's Bayou before Medusa sends the crocodiles after her

Well, to their credit, I didn't notice half of those until you pointed them out. And Jungle Book was pretty cyclical anyway, with a lot of repeating/running gags (the elliphants shmashing into each other, Kaa getting pushed out of the tree, etc). Good eye.

This was amazing! How did you catch all of that?? I remember when I was younger, I did always think that Baloo from "The Jungle Book" and Little John from "Robin Hood" were pretty much the same bear, lol.

I remember watching Disney's The Jungle Book when I was a kid and I didn't realise that they had reused animation so much like this. However, I definitely DID know that Kaa with Mowgli and the elephants marching appeared in the film more than once. To add to that, I don't blame Disney at all; first of all, animation was very hard back then due to the lack of modern technology that we have now and secondly and most importantly, they were trying to save on budget (that was especially the case with Robin Hood) by using the Xerox animation process. I think the reason why they were trying to save on budget during this time is because of the fact that in the 50s, Disney had spent almost the entire decade working on their very high budget animated feature-length movie Sleeping Beauty, and when it got released at the theatres in 1959, it didn't do that well at the box office, so it's as if they had wasted a lot of money. Therefore, starting in the 60s with One Hundred and One Dalmatians, they decided to start using the Xerox process which saved a lot of time and money and also made a scratchy look and they continued to use this through the rest of the 60s and 70s. This "saving time and money" process that they used through the 60s and 70s also included reusing some animation from some of their older films. This process doesn't make me dislike them at all. They had to reuse some animation from their older films and use the Xerox process because at the time, their budget was quite tight due to the fact that Sleeping Beauty was an expensive film that hadn't done that well at the box office. Strangely enough, I also have a feeling that Disney might have been making these "saving time and money" animated films through the 60s and 70s in order to save up to make their very high-budget Renaissance era that everyone still loves up to this day. This "saving time and money" process doesn't make me dislike these 60s and 70s Disney films at all and I still think that these Disney films are timeless classics up to this day.

Michael Robinson SLEEPING BEAUTY actually made a lot of money. It was the 8th highest grossing film of 1959. Trouble is, as you said, it cost too damn much to make that it didn't break even, never mind make a profit.

I noticed Disney recycling scenes in their movies for years. Have you noticed Cruella De vil car in the 101 dalmatians when she's trying to run the truck off the road but her cars falls down instead and she drives up that embankment crazy style. I've scene that bit recycled in another Disney movie, but can't for the life of me remember which one

Hate to be a little pushy here, but, I know this is a video from 2009, but, in The Jungle Book, there also exists a scene that was reused in 1977's The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

This may have been pointed out already, but there's one real obvious example of reused animation that you missed: an elephant beginning to make a trumpeting sound and someone grabbing his trunk and him exhaling fast to let out the air. That was done in the second scene with Hathi and his march posse in "The Jungle Book" and during the tournament battle in "Robin Hood".

@rafikiZ12 Actually "Golaith II" was from 1960. It was notable for being the first Disney film to use the Xerox process for their animated films. The first feature film was "101 Dalmatians." Notice the difference in style when comparing Disney movies like "The Jungle Book" to "Cinderella." "The Jungle Book" has more of a pencil-like quality to the drawings.

these movies were mostly done when the animation industry was just starting to do full length movies and they had to draw every single frame by hand so they used a technique that involved templates to speed the process along these scenes look the same not because they were stolen from other movies but because they used the same templates.

aladdin also "cheated" by recycling ideas from the jungle book but reanimating them so people will not notice. this is the most noticeable in the "prince ali" song:abu was transformed into an elephant that marched on a parade, genie and sultan's short dance ended in a similar way to baloo and louie, the door slam gag(jafar and bagheera being hit)genie's woman costume from the 3rd verse also reminds of baloo's.
