After several years of heavy use my Rev-A-Shelf lazy susan started scratching and catching on the bottom of the corner cabinet door. Eventually we could not open or close it. Then when we tried to fix it the supporting pole would not adjust. Eventually the entire assembly started to fall apart while I was trying to fix it. After disassembling the entire thing and reinstalling I discovered that bottom set screw looked ok but it was about half of its original length- it had sheered in half! That caused the bottom pie shaped shelf to imperceptibly slip down pulling the door with it. A new 59 cent set screw fixed the whole thing- I originally thought I would have to purchase a whole new set of shelves plus the assembly. Thank you!!!

@Ring0fSaturn Жыл бұрын
It appears that many of us are having a problem with the top/bottom clearance adjustment with the retainer clip that you address toward the end of your video ( "most replayed" portion of the vid). Your video is helpful, but that adjustment looks like a design flaw. Perhaps someone will dig deeper into that in another video. Thanks.
@steve45105 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video... Unfortunately, (though its identical to yours) mine won't adjust the height hence the bottom of the doors continue to hit the bottom leg mounting screws. So, I found a perfect fit washer 1/16" to install on the center shaft below the teflon washer (foot) while still allowing the foot to go completely through the center mounting hole. Works great now... I didn't know for sure if I was adjusting it correctly but your video had shown I was doing the right thing but that my adjuster wasn't raising or decreasing the height.

Steve I’m having the same problem, the bottom of cabinet rubs/sticks. I’ll have to try the washer because I can’t figure out any adjustments to raise it. It just seems right for a washer to fit in there without running it off track. Unfortunately they weren’t kind enough to leave the pamphlet inside my cabinet. 😞 haha
@tomhatchune4 жыл бұрын
@@jamieohare2428 I found that to adjust the door height the locking screw on the shaft needed to be loosened. If you loosen it too far, the top part falls out of the mount but it is easy to reattach before you tighten the screw. After doing the height you will probably need to follow these instructions to correctly set the stop.
@jamieohare24284 жыл бұрын
Tom McCune thanks for the reply. I was able to use the thumb screw to adjust the height. Unfortunately it seems to adjust the height at the top (adjusting the height up and down at the top). It does not appear to move the bottom up or down. The only thing I can think is to bring the top down a small fraction (the width of a washer) and slip a washer underneath to raise the bottom up and get it off bottom frame where it’s rubbing. I’m open to suggestions though if I’m missing something.

What happens if the trays themselves break? Is there a way to get that pole out without having to ruin the cabinet?
@Luap3022 ай бұрын
Hey there. We have since moved from the house with these cabinets. However, I believe that you can remove everything inside of the lazy Susan without ruining them. It will slide apart and you can replace the shelves if you can find them.

The top of mine keeps falling/rotating away from center. The plastic collar is basically the same size as the metal top, so there's not really any way to keep it completely vertical. Very frustrating.

I tried to adjust the height on mine b/c it was dragging on one of the screws. I didn't know anything, so I undid the set screw on the rod and it all fell apart! I found your video and put it back together, but I don't know how to make the doors stop properly. Then I discovered the brochure (stick built cabinets) in my new house file...so I tried the directions, with no positive results. I don't know how to set the plastic housing to make the doors stop in the right position. SEVERAL attempts, hopefully I didn't ruin it. What advice can you give me, if any? Now the door just goes round and round with no stop.
@Luap3025 жыл бұрын
What kind of cabinets are they? As you can see within the first minute of this video, there is a white plastic portion at the top of the lazy susan. That part (on mine) is what makes it stop in the correct position. On the back side of it is a metal notch that that hits the "v" portion in the plastic. If that doesn't meet together, it won't stop and will just keep spinning. The reason mine would keep spinning was because the set screw (below the plastic part) wouldn't "set" it in place. It just kept spinning when the plastic part and the metal notch would try to come into place. To get mine to be right, I opened the cabinet up so that the doors were facing 180 degrees out (or directly opposite of where they should be). I then made a guesstimate on the adjustment and spun the doors around to see how close or far off I was. I kept doing that until I got it right. I hope this helps!

@@Luap302 My oak cabinets were built by my contractor when we built the house in 2001. Your trial and error is the exact process I followed...about 8 or 9 times! The set screw on the rod is staying put, but that plastic part will not stay in place. There are tiny vertical grooves just below the plastic..maybe I stripped the inside of the plastic part with all my hits and misses. Guess I need a new plastic part. Thank you for your video and trying to help me.
@Luap3025 жыл бұрын
@@beckymiller7484 Unfortunately, it probably is stripped. Instead of spending money on a new part right away, have you tried Gorilla Glue? Maybe if you take it apart, put it back in just the right place with gorilla glue and then put a self tapping metal screw through the plastic and the metal shaft, it would stay put.

I k ow this is an old video, I’m having an issue with mine as well. Very similar to yours. The doors drag on the bottom and my adjustment at the bottom will no longer work. I used to have to adjust constantly because that shaft would slide down and doors would drag again. My problem now is that adjustment at the bottom gets to a certain point and will no longer turn (to raise the bottom so doors do not drag) any pointers? Thanks!
