I have issues with Revit pants sizing. There needs to be more overlap between sizes. The M mesh layer fits me spot on, but the outer layer is stiff and not adjustable. If I size up, the mesh layer fits weirdly baggy, and I need to max out the belt to have the outer layer not fall off. I had the same issue with the Defender 3 GTX pants, and I'm a solid 32 in every other brand. That said, the jacket is fantastic, and the concept is excellent for a trip where you have to ride from quite hot to cold weather, on and off the road.

I wonder if there are plans to sell the base layer on its own. I essentially have this setup, a component h20 jacket with a Knox urbane pro 2 armored shirt. If it gets cold, I add a thermal layer. If it gets hot, I wear a jersey and forgo the outer jacket. The only companies I can think of that have a ce AA rated armored shirt is adv spec and Knox. I like my setup, but my Knox could use a little more refinement (tight in the armpits, chest protector seems almost like an after thought).

REV’IT! sells the Proteus protector jacket with CE Level 2 armor
@shandy-lee Жыл бұрын
@@SupermotoCentral The issue with the proteus is that it does not have abrasion resistance. The bottom layer here is CE AA rated, as well as my Knox. I believe Knox also makes a CE AAA rated armored shirt, which is getting into leather levels of abrasion resistance. With the base layer shown here, you could wear anything over top and have some protection on the street. The proteus is more off-road only unless you have an outer layer that will protect you in a slide.

Just bought the Poseidon 3 from Rev'it wich fits my style of riding better, but I really like the concept of this set. Not perfect yet, but in time, Rev'it will probably make an version 2 (because Rev'it almost always does), and they will have fixed the few flaws by than.

The poseidon 3 still has that brilliant "plastic" look like the version 2? 😅

So aditianal info, The outer layers are categorised as B and the inner layers are AA. Wich means wearing both it would be an equivalent to a AAA homologation. Wich is amazing

I can see the technology put into the outfit but for the price you could have a top spec suit from Motoport custom fit to you; it may even be cheaper.

Revit "invents" The Stadler/Touratech Companiero suit. Just twice as expensive, no possibility to get lifetime extending repairs, and not made in Germany. For that money, you can just as well buy two way plane tickets to Munich and get a bespoke suit from Stadler.
@pgajlewicz Жыл бұрын
The price is almost the same for Revit and Tourtatech. But Companero has much batter design!

I just want a GoreTex version of the Component H20 jacket and pants. I was disappointed seeing Itchy Boots using her rain smock over the Component when she hit actual rain and decided to hold off for now.
@hunkyleepickle Жыл бұрын
I appreciate innovation, but I think this a miss from Revit on this one. For the price of the jacket, i can nearly get a Klim latitude/carlsbad jacket AND pants. I get that this is designed for a super wide range of weather and temps, but frankly I got my non current Klim Kodiak pants/jacket combo for under 1k, and i can just add my own layers under to suit the weather. Alternatively, find yourself any number of very nice adv jackets that are non gtx, and simply carry a very cheap rain suit in a backpack or topbox, old school style. The stratum seems complicated for complicated sake, and to justify the stratospheric price.

I also have Kodiak both pants and jacket and I do travel a lot with that suit. It amazes me every time. I have if 4-5 years already and I haven’t seen anything so far that makes me think change it.

@@Vjekoslav-vf3hr revit you mean ?
@alexleier Жыл бұрын
@@Vjekoslav-vf3hr yes I know. Me too. The thing is that revit can be super nice or the opposite depending on the item. I’ve seen some amazing hear from revit but I’ve also seen some terrible gear overpriced also. My go to jacket was a revit Jackson for 5 years till it teared apart but I. Was super satisfied although wasn’t at all waterproof as advertised. I replaced it with a revit trench which is indeed waterproof and for two years it’s serving me very well. Also I have gloves pants etc I am satisfied with. But in general before I buy something I do research. A friend of mine we travel together saw a pair of bouts on his size on sale from revit and bought them. They were dryvent so supposedly waterproof and he came to a trip with them. In the first week and after a rainy day they were really wet inside both. Next day sole came apart so he had to tape them with a duck tape to continue and they were just a week old. And then he bought these gloves to give revit a second chance as a brand. They are called STRATOS 2. He said it’s even worse buy than the boots. They soak up water although Gore-Tex and he feels very cold fingers than his cheaper alternative no name gloves. So what I want to say shortly is that with revit you must be careful as there are some good and some bad gear.
