I met James Moore at a Conference for COGIC! I fought my way through a crowd just to greet and shake his hand! When i reached him, he smiled while looking me in my face and shook my hand! I felt the power of God go through me and later began to cry. I am a church organist now and service at two ministries. I am truly grateful to have had that short time in my brothers life. RIP Bro.! So called gospel music today, just does not sound the same like it did in the 80s and 90s. I now understand why he had to prolong the song and repeat the same words. Sometimes these songs are necessary because life can get hard that we forget God and what he is able to do and that can happen quickly after a job loss, divorce, losing things, etc. We have to sing, quote scriptures and meditate on what God can do until we pick it up in our spirits so when trouble does come, and we know they will, the devil won't be able to come and snatch it from us.
