So… because you use a “notepad or phone” you haven’t done “intense study?” I would definitely beg to differ, lack of memory has absolutely nothing to do with one’s ability to understand and deliver a sound message. This preachers memory is gift that God has given him, it is not something many can do, myself included. 🤷🏾‍♂️

In my lifetime (59 years old), this is when, in my purview, preaching was most serious. It wasn't about self or show. The homiletical act had substance and deliberately avoided any sense of show. Oh, how I miss the likes of Dr. Jones, Dr. Samuel Proctor, and Dr. Gardner Taylor.
