Reverend Jeremiah Wright smugly answering pre-screened written questions from the audience and press at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, in response to national criticism and formal distancing of presidential candidate Obama. Aired on National Television: 4/28/08 9:38AM.
6. In light of your wide quoted comments damning America, do you think you owe the American people an apology, if not do you still belief America is damned in the eyes of God.
7. Senator Obama has been in your congregation for over 20 years yet you were not invited to his announcement to his national candidacy in Illinois, and in the most recent presidential debate in Pennsylvania he said he had denounced you. Are you disappointed Senator Obama has choice to walk away from you?
8. You just mentioned that Senator Obama hadn't heard many of your sermons; does that mean he is not much of a church goer, or does he dowses off in the pews?
9. In your sermon you said the government lied about inventing the HIV virus and used it as a means of genocide against colored people. So I ask you, do you honestly believe your statements and words.
10. You have likened Israeli's policies to apartheid and its treatment of Palestinian with Native Americans. Can you explain your views on Israel?
11. In your understanding of Christianity, does God love the white racist the same why he loves the oppressed Black American?
12. Can you elaborate on the comparison of the Roman soldiers who killed Jesus, to the US Marine corp. Do you still believe that is an appropriate comparison and why?

If I were presented questions that were leading, or contained statements that had no sources to bolster the factuality of the question, then my answers could be called "smug."

Who said anything about "hoping" that anyone goes to Hell? It is a serious matter! I have prayed for folks like him to see Christ's redemptive power.

Joeybee - You just can't stand to see a black man who can stand up and speak the truth - despite death threats, character assassination and outright lies about his ministry and character. I will pray for you - for real.

The apology was 500, 000 dead men, then it was SUPPOSED to be forty acres and a mule for EVERY former slave, but the early democrats made sure that never happened, so, saying there's never been an apology is not QUITE true, like a lot of what he says. I'm not sure if he's a bad guy, I don't like people coming to that conclusion after hearing edited clips of the man, but, I think he's wrong about a lot of things, and I know he's wrong about a lot of other things. I just think he's a man trapped in an unfortunate past, but I don't know the man, so what I think means nothing as is, and can certainly be changed.

He is a "Black Theologian", but not a real genuine Born Again Christian with the love of Christ and the right understanding of the Bible, or the teachings of Christ. He has a very arrogant, ungodly and unamerican Spirit which he has inculcated into his "parishioner" Hussein Obama. He's not the type of Paster leader that the President should sit under. Sounds like a socialist globalist professional clergyman lacking the Holy Spirit. He was never truly called to be a Minister--Pastor or an oracle of God. He's more a kin to Jesse Jackson, Sharpton and the unreverencile Farrakhan. I doubt the man is a Saved, Redeemed Child of God, called to serve the Lord.

You're ignorant and more than likely getting info from wikipedia. America didn't start slavory.Slavory was common in Africa, and other regions. If you're describing slavory of Africans in America, then you need an education. Slaves were sold by Africans,to the british,French and others, and slavory is still practiced in Africa today.Did you forget it was white folks (Republicans) who freed the slaves? And a felon is a criminal.A criminal gives up all expectations of freedom for harming others.
