This game brings nothing new. Looks like saints row 4 with updated graphics, the combat looks repetitive and overall is to overhyped just like killzone. And even die hard killzone fans will agree that it brought nothing new to the table.

chaselundakakewlaid I'm sorry, but I really get your saints row 4 comparison. That is a open world game thats built to do ridicules thing and have fun, while Infamous may not look the dark, the story is normally dark and gritty and the gameplay is a different style. The combat might be repetitive but there are very few games that don't have repetitive combat, but I'm sure it will be more diverse in the final copy. There are a few new elements, but a game dosen't have to bring anything new to the table to be a good game in the series, I'm happy enough with a a new character, and a new city/powers to explore. If you want something new than it would be best to look at non exclusive titles such has The Division, Destiny, Titian Fall, The Evil Withing, and Watch Dogs.

I love how Adam compares this to Titan Fall. I wasn't going to say anything, but I'm Pretty sure Adam is going to get paid big bucks by Microsoft to give titan Fall a good review. Even though Adam doesn't like Multiplayer, He will give TF a good review. Watch and see. Now what makes that interesting is, he will go out of his way, to find flaws with this game. This all goes back to his forza 5. I mean how did that game get a 5 out of 5 is beyond me, with all that micro-transactions. EDIT: For all the people saying Adam isn't a Microsoft undercover employee, Thats not what I was saying at all. Yes because a few micro-transactions are obviously enough to ruin an entire game. The only thing more false than that is how you think Adam is being paid off. Adam compared it to Titan Fall in the sound department. The two games will obviously be compared as they are some of the first big games for their respective systems, but thinking Adam is being paid off based off a sound comparison is insane.

For people worried about sound, I'm pretty sure they put a lot of work into it considering they're premiering dev-made, game specific HD Virtual Surround Sound on the PS4 with the Gold headset :) newly connectable to ps4 with 1.61

While I haven't played inFamous: SS in any form yet, I'm in agreement with the importance of sound and rumble. It can completely make or break certain guns or actions in a game. For example, when Gears of War 1 came out, the sniper rifle had a fantastic sound when fired and when you get a headshot...that head explosion was something magical when accompanied with the sounds. Then, in Gears of War 2, they gave it a more laser type of sound and it took out a lot of the satisfaction. On the flip side, they did change the noise of the iconic Lancer to something much, MUCH better in the games past Gears of War 1. I really enjoyed that, with this video, I went "Holy crap, this game is looking awesome. Wait a sec, I have this game pre-ordered already!" and a lightning bolt (no joke intended) surged through me with excitement.

Ok I think I've figured most of the HUD out. The eagle at the top left is your morality meter. The line at the bottom left is your power meter. The only thing I can't figure out is the weird cityscape outline right on top of the mini-map. What is that?

If Adam reads this, then hello Adam you clearly need to listen to games like Metal Gear Solid, Dead Space, etc. based on all the videos of Titanfall the sound isn't the most important aspect to that title. I have a question.... is the video game industry (including media) literally trying to hype up Titanfall because they are so convinced the industry needs a huge blockbuster to keep the momentum going? Games like Uncharted 3 had great vertical combat, the last of us has a wonderful multiplayer game, aka people ARE experimenting with different ideas. Titanfall looks alot like crysis (fast vertical first person), killzone (mechs, jetpacks), and COD. Not really revolutionary, it feels like alot of propaganda. I feel that a power wheel would have been more -useful- natural since you could automatically change whenever and wherever you need to. I understand that they had to make use of the absorption process that they had in all infamous games, but even both a power wheel and the absorbing process would have been useful and easier.

I think that the oomph that Adam is looking for might just be due to the difference in powers, lightning is going to be fast and strong, while something like neon is probably going to be much more focused on speed and smoke focused on melee, just a theory but that's what i think it could be.

So by the looks of it, neon is also used to subdue enemies. One could assume that neon is the "good" power, smoke is the neutral and there could be a third power which is "corrupt".

Graphics wise, this game looks amazing! However, Delsin's movements does look a little awkward at times since his hands are always locked on to enemies/objects whenever he targets them no matter which way his body turns. His range attacks also goes askew; i.e.; his hand is pointing at a 12 o'clock position but the blasts goes to 11 o'clock just because the target's in that position.

Interesting that one of his issues is sound with this game. That doesn't bode well for those new Sony wireless headsets, seeing that Infamous is supposed to be the first game to have its own sound profile on them. Hopefully they fix whatever issues they were having with the demo build that he played. Either way I'm really looking forward to this game.

Okay, here's a thought. Console War discussions are stupid. Anyways, looks nice. I never really felt engaged with the first Infamous gameplay-wise so I didn't jump into the series passed that point, but I have to say that the new visuals do add some flavor to what I'm seeing. I do hope that their sound design isn't as lackluster as Adam was mentioning because poor sound design can ruin single player experiences for me if I'm trying to get into a game.

Agreed. A good example of this is Assassin's Creed 4. While I thought it was vastly superior to AC3, the cannons on the ship in AC3 seemed to have a lot more "OOMPH" when fired. In AC4, it was more of a "poof."

I'm actually not overly excited for Titanfall, it's like Brink, but in nicer cities. On the other hand it's inspiring to see you so ambitious about Microsoft's intentions, but not everything has to be Xbox vs Playstation you know, one would think that with the difference in hardware that would be an angle you'd avoid using.
