No matter what anyone says, this is the future for owners who want a practical everyday classic car.

I love that people are electrifying these gorgeous cars. One day I would like to have the funds, and I am hoping this will become cheaper, to convert an original BMW Z3 or a TR7 (I know a marmite car to many)

Hi Morgan , the TR7 would be interesting

I think they have done a great job in restoring and converting the Spitfire. I had a 1500 many years ago, and it was unreliable, leaky and uneconomical - but still a lot of fun! The electric conversion looks to have been well thought out on this one. If the owner is happy, that's the main thing, but I think it's great!

Excellent :) I’d love to do this with my long term “abandoned rebuild” of my late mums Mk3. We’ve had it in the family since 1978. I started to do a body off rebuild in the early 90’s. Unfortunately I’m now longer physically able to work on it as I’m disabled. It’s such a shame that it’s been left with so much to do :( I also removed the commission plates and stored them “safely” with the V5… that I can now no longer find :( I’m at a loss what to do with it now… I’d love to have it back on the road, finished as an EV :)

Can you not find anyone who help with the project ? Hopefully someone here might be able to help

AS FAR AS I KNOW THE MK 3 WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAD A LOWER CONTROL ARM ON THE REAR SUSPENSION.

Lovely car - and quite right about fun at forty (mph), this project reminds me of the 1967 magenta Sptitfire Mk III we bought for £250, the best bang per buck ever. Sensitively modernised for the modern era 🙂
